London's Shoreditch neighborhood is known for fashion (Hi, Victoria Beckham!) and some of the city's most popular nightlife destinations, but anyone looking for a more unique and furry experience should book some time at the Pug Cafe. According to Travel + Leisure, Pug Cafe and its sibling spots the Pom Cafe and Sausage Dog Cafe are hosting special holiday events to celebrate each breed. All breeds are welcome to join in the festivities and the cafes have teamed with Pet Teezer for goodie bags.
Metro adds that the party is set to start on December 8 at The Allegory, a popular (and Instagram-friendly) pub. Guests can enjoy complimentary puppacinos, pawsecco, and champaws and their human companions can sample a seasonal menu of cocktails. After the canapes, there will be dog-friendly mince pies and pupcakes as well as a full menu of Cuban-inspired food for non-canines.
Owners will also get to take home a Dog Lover's treat bag and the first 350 people to RSVP will get a free Pet Teezer brush. Pup Cafe's grooming pro, Daniela Forshaw, will be on-hand to give trims to any pups looking to freshen up their look. Tickets start at £12 (about $15 USD) and you don't need a pet to attend — or any of the specific breeds. Everyone is welcome, though there are specific time slots for guests looking to mingle with their favorites. The 80-minute breed-specific time slots are 10 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. for Pomeranians, 11:20 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. for dachshunds, and 3 and 4:40 p.m. for pugs. Head to Pug Cafe's website for more information and to book your time.
For even more pup-centric pop-ups, Newcastle and Southampton are hosting their own dog cafes. French bulldogs, dachshunds, Pomeranians, and pugs — and the people who love them — are all getting breed-centric cafes before Christmas.
