Compact Luxury

It was my first trip to Hawaii as a mother and daughter to celebrate my daughter's college graduation, so peace of mind was our top priority. Our expectations for Japanese-style service were fully met. It was also wonderful to receive Halekulani service so smoothly.

Nice but not worth the price

It’s a nice hotel but for the price I’d say to go somewhere else. It is pretty but otherwise feels like a 4 star hotel. The staff is very accommodating but the room is small, the bathroom is very small (has a curtain for the shower which feels a bit outdated and not hygiene). I hurt my foot in the door of the room it is very heavy, the fridge was small and froze all our food. Again, the lobby is pretty and staff is nice but not really worth the price.

My stay at Halepuna was the best among all my Hawaii experiences. I have stayed at almost all the famous hotels, but here the facilities are new, and the staff’s hospitality was truly pleasant and excellent. Unlike other hotels, it was free from any sense of crowding, allowing for a blissful resort experience. Thank you very much. I will definitely visit again next time.

Great hotel but lacking in food ifferings

Fri Aug 15 2025 13:36:41 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by bharo82

Great hotel but the food offerings are lacking. Umi is overpriced for breakfast and the quality was not great. Halekulani Bakery was very good if you stick to the pastries. The breakfast sandwiches were cold and undercooked.
