I Prefer My Price FAQ

I Prefer My Price is a valuable new offering that gives I Prefer Members the opportunity to name their own nightly price at select hotels for a standard single or double occupancy room. Currently, it is available as an exclusive pilot for select Members.

Select Members have been invited to the program page to view the participating hotels. Members will complete an online form to submit an offer for their desired hotel, including specific travel dates and nightly rate (in USD). Submissions will be reviewed within 24 hours; all Members who submit an offer will receive an email response as to whether their offer was accepted. Acceptance emails will include a phone number for those Members to call within 72 hours (from the time the acceptance email was sent) to complete their booking and pay in full. Bookings for these accepted rates will not be available online.

The nightly rate is inclusive of sales tax, but exclusive of resort fees, service fees, city tax, or any other special tax. I Prefer My Price bookings are non-refundable and not for resale. Hotels will not price-match any accepted rates from the I Prefer My Price program. Any questions regarding an accepted My Price rate or booking should be directed to the I Prefer Team.

Members can submit offers for up to five consecutive nights at a hotel.

Each Member may only submit one offer per hotel per 24-hour period. Additional offer submissions for a hotel by the Member will not be considered.

The pilot is currently open to a limited audience of I Prefer Members who are U.S. residents. Accepted offers must be booked in the name of the submitting Member.

As part of the pilot, there are six I Prefer hotels from around the world: Hotel Balzac (Paris, France); The First Roma Arte (Rome, Italy); The Bentley Hotel (London, England, United Kingdom); The Kitano Hotel New York (New York, New York, United States); Condado Vanderbilt Hotel (San Juan, Puerto Rico); and Velas Vallarta Suites Resort (Puerto Vallarta, Mexico).

Your submitted offer details will be displayed on a confirmation page. An email will not be sent, so please print or save that page for your records.

Once submitted, offers cannot be retracted. Only one offer per hotel will be accepted per Member per day. If you have any questions, please contact us via email here.

Yes, reservations booked under the I Prefer My Price program will be awarded points for the amount paid in advance. Hotels may award points for non-room charges at their sole discretion.

Additional nights beyond your accepted offer may be booked at the hotel's lowest available rate. Please advise the I Prefer Team when completing your My Price booking and they can also assist you with reserving this portion of your stay.

Due to the limited availability of these rooms and unique pricing paid in advance, changes to confirmed reservations will not be accommodated. This includes changes to booking name, travel dates, and room type.

I Prefer My Price rates are actual offers submitted by I Prefer Members and accepted by Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Offer submission window begins on February 10, 2020, and closes at 11:59PM Central Time on February 13, 2020; travel dates available are February 10, 2020, through December 24, 2020. I Prefer My Price program is only open to Members who are U.S. residents and there is no fee or purchase necessary to submit an offer.

Travel Dates and Nightly Rate in USD must be specified at time of offer submission and accepted offers may only be booked to those details. There is no guarantee that an offer will be accepted or that specific dates or prices as requested will be available, as each participating hotel has limited availability and blackout dates may apply. Each Member may only submit one (1) offer per hotel per 24-hour period; additional offer submissions for a hotel by a single Member within a day will not be considered. By submitting an offer, the Member agrees to book the room if the offer is accepted by Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Members will be notified via email within 24 hours after the offer is submitted whether their offer has been accepted or not. Those accepted must follow the provided instructions within 72 hours after the acceptance email is sent to complete their booking with the Preferred Hotels & Resorts I Prefer Team; bookings for these rates will not be available online. Hotels will not price-match any accepted rates from the I Prefer My Price program. Contacting the hotel directly to request a price-match for additional stays is strictly prohibited and may result in booking termination.

Advance reservation and prepayment of entire stay by credit card is required. Reservations under I Prefer My Price are NON-REFUNDABLE AND NOT FOR RESALE. No changes will be allowed, including name. Offer not applicable to group bookings. Accommodation will be for a single/double occupancy standard room ONLY and inclusive of sales tax. The nightly rate will be exclusive of resort fees, service fees, city tax, or any other special tax. Customers are responsible for all incidentals during their stay, including but not limited to: food and beverage, telephone, fitness center, laundry, etc. Members will receive I Prefer Points for their stay based on their accepted nightly rate; hotels in their sole discretion may award points on non-room charges made during the stay. I Prefer My Price program is subject to restrictions and change without notice.
