Our family cannot recommend Vermejo enough. We had an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish, and we cannot wait to return. Traveling with our two boys (ages 4 and 8), I worried they might be too young to fully enjoy everything. Instead, we were blown away by how engaging and accommodating the entire experience was... not just for us, but for them as well. Our trip began with a half-day fishing adventure with Joe, who instantly made a lasting impression. Weeks later, our boys are still talking about him and that unforgettable morning. From there, we went geocaching with Jason and Justin; an afternoon that felt completely unique, customized just for us, and pushed us out of our comfort zone in the best way possible. The food, the staff, and the atmosphere were second to none. Every team member we met radiated passion and joy for their work, which is such a rare gift in today’s service industry. Special shoutouts to William and Andrew for an incredible UTV ride that felt like our own private adventure, and to the kitchen team who prepared the trout our son caught. Watching him proudly serve those appetizers to our group was a memory we’ll never forget. From fishing and UTV rides to phenomenal meals (we’re still dreaming about the blueberry crème brûlée), everything exceeded our expectations. The trip left such an impression that when my son was asked in school what he wanted to be when he grew up, he answered without hesitation: “a guide at Vermejo!” Thank you, Vermejo, for a trip of a lifetime. We are already dreaming of our next visit.

We had a perfect experience. It was the right combination of nature and luxury for us. The staff did an excellent job of making our stay a wonderful one. There are limitless outdoor activities at Vermejo. The food was excellent. We would definitely make another trip to Vermejo! We like the fact that it is far from civilization and we appreciate the fact that Ted Turner is conserving nature.

This property is simply awesome, from the vastness and diversity of the land, to the guides, service and accommodations, and the incredible wildlife. This trip exceeded my expectations. I was able to experience viewing Bison, Elk and Mule Deer, as well as the lakes and the Catskill Kilns. The buildings are beautiful.
