Just returned from a 14 night stay with my husband and 2 daughters aged 18 and 13. We used this hotel as a base for visiting Disney and Universal parks. It was perfectly placed, non of the parks were more than a 20 minute drive away. There is a Publix supermarket within walking distance. The hotel is a mix of tourists and business clientele. It is therefore quiet and elegant, a welcome contrast to the hustle and bustle of the parks. 3 pools, all spotless and plenty of sun loungers. Perfect to relax after 20,000 steps at the parks! The rooms are large, with 2 queen size beds, a mini fridge and air con. Air con was a bit noisy when it kicked in but worked well. Bathroom was fine, although maybe a bit dated, but this hotel has a traditional style anyway but is also very clean and the housekeeping was great. Bar was a little expensive $7-8 dollars for a can of beer $11-12 for a wine, but these are prices we would expect to pay in a hotel and the quality was good. We did buy cokes, waters and beers and kept in our fridge. No issue drinking these at the pool. There are a selection of restaurants in the hotel but we preferred to eat out and about and our girls had a list of TikTok recommended restaurants to try anyway! Would 100% recommend this hotel, it's close to all of the parks and also International Drive for the evenings. Also, no resort fees if booked through BA and free parking. You would need a car here. Great holiday, thank you Rosen Shingle Creek!

We stayed at the Rosen Shingle Creek for two weeks for our 40th Wedding Anniversary through Virgin Holidays we e-mailed them before arrival asking if we could have a King Size Room which they did provide Check In 16th June Was fast and efficient Room 1st Floor room looked clean but did show that there may have had a dog staying in it at sometime as there were what looked like dog hairs Bed comfortable. The room had a adjoining door to an upgraded room next door which meant that on the second night the occupant had there TV on so load it was as though it was in our room on the third night we were woken by a group having a get together at 3.30am drinking on the patio. Then on the 5th Evening from around 5.00pm somebody just up the corridor had left one or two dogs in there room which barked continuously until they returned after 10.00pm we did complain and they provided us with a fruit plateau and a small cake for out disturbance and said they would look to move us which they offered on our 11th night On the 7th night we again had noise issues with a group in the adjoining room playing some kind of game in the room we could hear every part of the board game Recommend that if you stay at the hotel you request room without adjoining room and where dogs have stayed or you may feel you are staying in a Kennel. Restaurant We used the buffet restaurant every day and the. Servers were fantastic friendly and efficient Ron and CiCi were great and food quality was excellent There are numerous other restaurants but some are not open during the week the prices being the normal this type of hotel with also a take away area for sandwiches etc Surroundings The surroundings are beautiful and well kept with th golf course and nice swimming though these can close when event is on Car Park Self Parking It is a bit of a walk although they have a buggy which can pick you up at busy times it takes approx 10 minutes to reception and we did not pay for parking as it was included in our package but it does normally get charged at $30 per night Location The hotel is very close to Epic Universe and there is transport to Universal and Seaworld but this needs to be booked in advance The hotel is a bit out on a limb and you either need to have a car or ride share Taxi to get to other hotels as International Drive is approx 2 miles from Hotel where all the restaurants are based Conclusion The hotel is a convention hotel which priced lower then the likes of Hilton it is in my opinion a short stay hotel due to the the costs mean there are a lot of cheerleader events and volleyball etc and clientele who are there for only 3 to 5 nights or less

Overall this is a good hotel however there were a few things that were lacking. Positives Comfy bed Fresh towels daily if wanted Facilities Cold free drinking water in lobby and by pools Excellent stocked but pricy mini market Starbucks Pools were excellent, large, nice temperature and towels Coffee machine regularly restocked Negatives Main one being the rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment, showing signs of age. Two huge cracks in marble top spanning entire length of vanity siliconed in Rooms were not cleaned for the entire length of stay (2 weeks) which is unacceptable. Although towels were changed and beds made. Toiletries not replenished Strange smell In incredibly loud, despite reporting they were unable to fix the noise so was only able to have it on during the day and not nighttime meaning it became hot overnight. For the above reasons I would not return especially if air con is required. Also beware of the large parking fee, we didn’t pay this as was included in the room rate however would have been miffed if had to pay. Location means having a car is helpful.

We came to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. We were married here in 2009 and very excited to celebrate. We reserved a suite and we were very excited to spend the first night away from our kids in a long time. We got here about 1:30 and they told us our room wasn’t ready yet, but couldn’t move us to a different room because they had a special surprise for us already planned. We had a spa appointment at 2 and the massages were fantastic so no big deal. When we went back to the front desk, there was no acknowledgment of our anniversary, congrats or welcome back, we got to our room and there was nothing special as the first check in person noted. We were taking showers getting ready for a dinner reservation and heard a knock at the door. It was someone delivering a breakfast menu- to the wrong room. My husband mentioned they said there was supposed to be something special. They said oops you’re right. He told them we were going to dinner in an hour and getting ready now. Someone then knocked on the door 20 minutes later and we had to scramble to find bathrobes quickly. They brought a bottle of champagne which was nice… but not sure why that meant we couldn’t move rooms and also not sure why that had to be delivered when we said we were taking showers and getting ready for a dinner reservation. No concept of understanding or service. We did have a dinner reservation at a land remembered and the food and service were outstanding. The sleep experience however left a lot to be desired. I should have pushed to move rooms. The pillows were sooooo flat and uncomfortable. The air conditioner was making weird noises all night. The worst part though was the suite we paid $600 for was on the lobby level and near the pool and we could hear people yelling and talking and singing all night. It is currently 2am and I haven’t slept and am very disappointed in this experience.

Knew nothing of the Rosen chain when I chose their hotel. I was in town for Infocomm and wanted a hotel with nice pools for my wife to chill by. This hotel was awesome! All the service staff went out of their way to help with anything. The food in the restaurants was good and the grounds are beautiful and well kept.
