My wife and I stayed at The Michelangelo for two nights to celebrate my 70th birthday in NYC. The room was a clean spacious suite, with comfortable bedding and a full and half bath. The entire staff provided exceptional service, from the friendly doormen to the front desk and housekeeping staff. In addition, the hotel gave me a nice welcome gift of a small bottle of wine and food sampler. The hotel also has a great location near the theatre district. We will stay here for future NYC visits

This weekend was the perfect experience with my granddaughter and me. The staff were so very attentive and kind. Edwin and Teodoro helped with details. The restaurant food was tasty- we will always stay here on future visits. One tip- bring a power strip. Not enough outlets for all our devices. But do t let that stop you.

Great location, excellent service from everyone except the front desk staff. Staff promised a call at 3PM when the room was ready; no call. At 3:30 it was clear our room was given to someone else. They scrambled to get us a room finally finding one sometime after 4PM. Error on the bill, included a charge for someone else. I've sent 4 emails including one to the manager, no response to any of them.

What a fantastic experience! My friend and I took a spontaneous trip to New York City—neither of us had spent much time there before, so we were navigating everything as newcomers. After a lot of online research, we chose The Michelangelo based on its glowing reviews and great location. Although we initially found it through a travel website, we decided to call the hotel directly to book, and we're so glad we did—the staff was incredibly gracious and helpful right from the start. The hotel has so much character, which we really appreciated, and everything was impeccably clean. Walter at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate our request for a corner room on a higher floor. The room itself was spacious, quiet, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Rajif and Cesar, the bellmen, were super friendly and offered great tips on navigating the city. Daniel, the concierge, was proactive and approachable—he let us know right away that he could help with everything from finding a great café to booking a show. Kendrick and June at the front desk were equally warm and friendly. Every time we left or returned to the hotel, it felt like we were being greeted by friends. By the end of our stay, it truly felt like we knew everyone—and they knew us. We absolutely loved our trip and can’t wait to return to New York. When we do, we’ll definitely be staying at The Michelangelo again!

Loved this hotel. From the moment we arrived (very early on a Saturday morning) we were treated very well. Everything from check-in to departure including bag storage, recommendations for good eats and ordering us transportation in the middle of the street festival was handled with courtesy and style. The room itself was spacious and very quiet. Actually extremely quiet for NYC. The hotel is close to everything but not right in the middle of the chaos so you can get a break from the city that doesn't sleep!
