There is much better value elsewhere

The hotel's low quality is typical of hotels in terrific locations that enjoy a steady flow of travellers wishing to be close to the centre. I appreciate that for that reason it's not necessary to make investments, but I've seldom encountered such disrespect and such a run-down building. The hotel puts on airs of 'luxury' but there is no substance. Stay at Rancho Valencia. For the same money, you'll be treated better, see more of the county and have a wonderful experience.
Couldn't of asked for a better stay!

Beautiful hotel with an incredibly attentive and accommodating staff. They shipped out multiple large packages for me and also returned an item I had left behind. The views and proximity to the beach are hard to beat. Definitely order the Chorizo Eggs Benedict, it's next level!
Not for Families or people who like little noise

4 nights of a poor enviroment and a bit of hell because of neighboring hotel - La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites and La Valencia Hotel hid this from us when booking, knowing we had a young child (4) It seems La Valencia will happily charge you to get a sea view and charge you premium meanwhile knowing very well La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites host rooftop Weddings many nights of the week back to back which comes with festival echo and noise until 10 or 11pm every-night, starting at 5pm. We paid to upgrade for sea/coastal view which was essentially booking a stay next to a night club. This is just a poor not equal cost environment for the price you pay. I will avoid La Valencia in future as we desire nice quiet environment when settling down for the evening

La V is a magical place. Gorgeous, charming and approachable without a hint of snobbiness. The light on the hotel with all its stunning tilework is really a work of art. The pool area centres the hotel and is an exceptional area with Mike fully in control with aplomb, grace and kindness.
Dog friendly. Great view.

This location is fantastic for dogs, featuring a dedicated dog menu. The views are breathtaking, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Nikki at the front desk provided excellent recommendations on places to visit and activities to enjoy. Whenever I want to escape Manhattan Beach, I will definitely return here.
