My family and I stayed for two nights. All of the staff were friendly. Nothing went wrong. The rooms we had were spacious and clean. The hotel was quiet.

We cannot say enough great things about Hanover Inn. From the cookies upon arrival, friendly & helpful front desk to a very clean and comfortable room, this hotel ticks a lot of boxes. Food at the restaurant is also delicious. The location is great for visiting Dartmouth College and for walking around the town.

Purposely booked a "campus view" room 3 months ahead of time as we went for a very special art opening by a friend. Dartmouth is 4 1/2 hours from us, and we were only spending one night, so we wanted it to be special. The "campus view" was looking at trees on one side, traffic aimed directly at our bed on the other. The hotel was sold out so that by the time we checked in at 4, we needed to be at the event by 5, no chance to get a different room. Hotel desk indifferent, didn't even hear what I was saying, offered to "make a note" for next time. I don't expect to be there again. On contacting the hotel when we got home was offered a $25 refund. Room was over $400. I've yet to see that refund post. Otherwise, this is a lovely enough hotel, with a good restaurant for breakfast. Bathroom was cramped for a "suite" but linens etc high end. Be aware there is major construction on one side of the hotel, but plenty of rooms facing the campus with unobstructed views and no oncoming traffic. Make sure you ask for one of those.

Excellent location, comfortable rooms and extremely attentive and lovely staff. As a Bonvoy member, I decided to forego my points and try something different, and it was totally worth it! Highly recommend!
