This is a great hotel in a really central location. Less than 5 mins walk from the central station where the 600 bus from the airport stops. 5 minutes from City Hall where you catch the HOHO and coach tours. Staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. The amenities were great both in the room and around the hotel public spaces. We had a basic executive room which was very spacious and had everything we needed and more. Although we didn't make a coffee it was nice that there was a cafetière and teapot in the room as well as a mini bar with free water - which got replenished daily and extra arrived at the turn down service. The bed and pillows were comfy. We loved the decor everywhere. The shower had good pressure and a nice touch was the tea light candle and matches on the side of the bath. Food in the bar was in generous portions and we enjoyed the 2 for 1 cocktails on Friday evening to kick off the trip. We had breakfast and there was a good choice of buffet and à la carte - reception told us it was cheaper to prebook. The only niggle was there's no power cable or USB point on one side of the bed so you have to charge your phone across the room but this is common in a lot of hotels. We'll definitely make this our base when we visit again

The turn down service is such a nice touch, the chocolates are exactly what you need after a long day on your feet. I also really appreciate the floor space for those of us who prefer to do a few down dogs on our own, rather than going to the hotel gym.

We travelled to Belfast to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary, and we chose the Fitzwilliam based on its location and we wanted somewhere a bit special considering the occasion. Well, we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. The warm welcome from the concierge, and the smiley reception team who checked us in, who advised us we had been upgraded to a suite on the 5th floor. We originally had booked a city view king on the 9th floor. The room was just wow. A corner room overlooking the main thoroughfare. Floor to ceiling windows with high quality blackout curtains. High quality furnishings, and a huge en-suite with large walk in shower and a bathtub you could access from the bedroom via sliding doors. Minibar, nespresso style coffee machine and high quality toiletries are all complimentary. Breakfast was included in our room rate. You can opt for a la carte cooked items, and there’s also a plentiful continental option. The staff are superb and on the ball at all times. All produce is locally sourced and you can tell. We had dinner on our anniversary night and opted for the chateaubriand, unfortunately it wasn’t available, but we had the Coute de Boeuf and it was cooked to perfection. Again the service was superb. We cannot thank the staff enough, both front and back of house, for making our 1st anniversary dinner something we will never forget. The bar serve exceptional cocktails, and the staff are incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. Although they may appear pricey however, the cocktails are outstanding. To summarise. If we wanted to find fault, we’d struggle. Honestly this was a truly phenomenal hotel, and what truly makes it 5 star, is the staff and the standards of service. Do not look anywhere else if you are looking for a luxury, city centre experience whether for business or pleasure. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed 3 nights on a mini break to Belfast, our first visit. The hotel was well located for the city centre. It was lovely and clean and there were always plenty of staff on hand. Lauren, the Resturant manager was a real source of local knowledge. The concierge was able to book us trips and car hire with no fuss. A really enjoyable stay.

Great variety for breakfast, something for everyone. Hotel is centrally placed, which is very convenient. Bed very comfortable. Room lovely and clean if a little tired. Staff very friendly and welcoming and will even go out of their way to make a cocktail that isn’t on the bar menu.
