I visited the hotel on August 5th, 2025, with my mother, hoping to enjoy a lunch meal at one of the restaurants. I had stayed here many years ago and was excited to return, especially because the building and lobby are still incredibly beautiful. The food is still quite good but the service is very slow, we were waiting almost half of hour for a simple order. Unfortunately, the overall experience was far from what I expected from a 5-star hotel. While passing through the lobby, I witnessed two staff members—what seemed to be part of management (a man in a black suit with glasses and a woman in a purple dress)—arguing loudly with upset guests right in front of everyone. Their tone was aggressive and unprofessional, which left a very negative impression. I also spoke to other guests who mentioned that the service quality has declined in recent years, which many attribute to poor management. It’s a shame because the hotel has great potential, but it’s clearly not being lived up to under the current leadership.

We stayed here last year and had a seamless experience, which brought us back again. This trip has also been mostly perfect — the amenities, the room quality (after moving), the pool, and the restaurant (we're on half board) are all outstanding! Shout out to restaurants staff: Carlos, Jordi , Octavio and all over restaurants staff! The staff here are all lovely and professional! One thing for the hotel to improve on, we noted it was our honeymoon when booking. We were initially placed in the worst room, next to a noisy building site with constant hammering. It felt like the opposite of being looked after. We did change room and the lady was very helpful. However, there has still not been a note or anything left in the room as a “congratulations” which is disappointing. The rest of the stay has absolutely lived up to our previous visit, and we would still recommend the hotel overall.

This was our second stay at this wonderful hotel, and it was just as memorable as the first. This time, we had a room overlooking the park and the local arts centre — a truly picturesque setting. Every morning and evening, we were treated to the cheerful squawking of parrots, which added a lovely touch of nature to our stay. July brought mostly cloudy mornings, but by the afternoon, the skies would clear to a brilliant blue. On overcast days, we explored the nearby historic district — the architecture is stunning and the local cuisine a real treat. Once the sun came out, we made the most of the afternoons relaxing by the pool. The food here continues to impress. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. A big shoutout to the team for introducing the half-board option — it’s thoughtfully designed to cater to all dietary needs. As a particularly fussy vegetarian, I was thrilled to find a variety of healthy, satisfying options. Gone are the days of the standard mushroom risotto — there’s even a dedicated vegan menu now. No buffet for your Evie h meal - instead high-quality, personally selected food brought to you! The service at both breakfast and dinner was impeccable, with staff consistently warm, attentive, and professional. We stayed for a full week and enjoyed every meal. A heartfelt thank you to Sonia and Estefania at reception — we can be quite particular, but every request we made was met with a smile and a genuine willingness to help. Their professionalism and warmth truly made our stay special. This hotel is perfect for those who appreciate refined luxury and love a bit of people-watching — there’s always something happening either within the hotel or just steps away. Will we return? Absolutely. In fact, each time we stay, it gets harder to leave.

Top tier service with a welcoming atmosphere We stayed at this hotel for my partners birthday for a long weekend. We had a wonderful stay. We had a junior suite unfortunately all the terrace/balcony rooms were booked but the room was still lovely, a spacious bed, cosy living area and roomy bathroom. This gave me us access to the vip rooftop area which was fabulous. we enjoyed the quiet and adult privacy of the area. the rooftop pool is smaller than the main one but perfectly useful for small number guests with sunbed, cabanas and bar. Thanks to the barman for excellent negronis! The daily breakfast was a creature feature for us, lots of choice and the ground floor terrace is such a gorgeous setting to start the morning, service is attentive and lots of choice, for cooked and fresh foods. coffee, tea or bubbles are easily available from wait staff. cooking stations for fried eggs/omelettes or pancakes meant we didn't have to suffer through any soggy or luke warm foods. The have a health spa/suite, with sauna, cold plunge, pools, aromatherapy the works We also had dinner at the michelin restaurant Poemas (which is inside the hotel) tasting menu with wine pairing. so much food we had to take little breather halfway through. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, we had a such a lovely time spent one day at the beach but enjoyed the ease of the hotel so much we didn't bother going back. This has solidified gran canaria as one of my favourite destinations and I highly recommend it for quick jaunt especially as the island is always temperate and was 30 degrees in the middle of october!
