Cozy Hotel right off Las Ramblas. I loved the mix of old and modern in the decoration. The rooms aren't big but comfortable and the roof top bar employees were great. I think that for adults its a lovely place but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for families.

This is our second stay at this hotel. The decor, service and welcome are the best you will ever receive! We love this hotel! It’s right on the strip of Ramblas. Yes there are a few homeless people about but you get that everywhere. I literally want to come every 6 months here🤣the rooms and cocktail bar are amazing! Thank you so much it’s just perfect in every way xx

An interesting period hotel (c 1900): well maintained and clean. Our room was a good size and was modern and well appointed. We didn’t interact much with the staff, but found them all friendly, polite and helpful. I can’t comment on the number of television channels available as I don’t visit Barcelona to stay in and watch television 😀. The only very minor downside was that there was no hot water one morning. I can’t understand some of the comments about the location - it’s in a fairly typical street; it didn’t seem particularly scruffy and there were no doubtful looking characters hanging around. The street is quiet and it’s only about 100 metres from La Rambla and one probably couldn’t hope for better at a sensible price. We didn’t try the breakfast, preferring to go to La Boqueria (which is very close) and graze on the infinite variety of foods available there. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend it.

My family and I stayed at Hotel Espana Ramblas on August 9, 2024, and I had a very disappointing experience due to the behavior of the reception staff. We had an early flight and left our luggage with the reception before breakfast. When we retrieved our bags at the airport, we realized one of our suitcases was missing. We rushed back to the hotel and asked the reception to check the luggage room. Instead of assisting us, the staff spoke to us in a very rude and insulting manner, claiming that nothing was left behind and suggesting we should call the police. After persistent requests, they finally opened the luggage room, and our suitcase was indeed there. Ultimately, they did not apologize for the situation and continued to treat us disrespectfully. Although the manner of breakfast staff was perfect, I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience with their reception staff.

Just returned from a 3night trip to Barcelona staying in hotel Espana Ramblas. It was the perfect hotel in the perfect location. Situated half way down La Rambla just off the Main Street. Was within walking distance of a lot of major attractions (gothic quarter, shops, Plaza Catalunya….where you can get on hop on hop off bus, metro stops, 20min walk to marina and a bit further to the beach) The hotel itself, we had a double boutique room. Lovely rituals toiletries, robe and slippers, nice decor. Our room was over looking an internal courtyard so was lovely and quiet (amazing for a busy city hotel) We paid for breakfast in our package (from memory about £10pp) well worth it. Continental and choice of eggs cooking to liking or avocado on toast with smoked salmon etc The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff helped us with our transfer to the airport on leaving. Great roof top bar with yummy cocktails Felt really safe, cosy and friendly - hope to return one day soon
