Once the 18th-century palace of the Duke of Noblejas, Catalonia Las Cortes has been completely restored, preserving distinctive touches while adding modern comforts. Strategically located in the Art Triangle in the heart of traditional Madrid, five minutes from the Prado Museum, a little more to Plaza Mayor, and close to the Thyssen Bornemisza Collection and the Reina Sofía Art Center, the best of Madrid is at your doorstep.
The building retains its noble character, including the original palace entrance, frescoes in the suites, and the spectacular main staircase, as well as the moldings and mirrors that decorate it. The wood floors have also been preserved and you can admire the stained glass windows of the old chapel on the second floor.
All Catalonia Las Cortes guestrooms and suites are equipped with contemporary comforts and modern amenities. Completely restored frescoes are found in the hotel’s suites, including the Imperial Suite, which is located in the main area of the old palace, with a large separate living room and bedroom and a whirlpool for relaxing after a long day.
Begin each day with an extensive buffet that includes a wide variety fresh, local, and seasonal selections. If you are feeling puckish and looking for a snack, a variety of sweet and savory finger foods are available throughout the day and into the evening in the cozy and complimentary snack area.
Marvel at Barrio de las Letras, a district with the rhythm of a big city and abundant Bohemian charm and streets lined with small restaurants, intimate art galleries, and lively cocktail bars.
Beyond the hotel’s quiet interior courtyard with a vertical garden, many of Madrid’s iconic sights are within walking distance of Catalonia Las Cortes, from The Art Triangle, Prado Museum, and Thyssen Bornemisza Collection to Reina Sofía Art Center, Almudena Cathedral, Retiro Park, and Palacio Real. The hotel is also within 30 miles/48 km of many other points of interest. The front desk team will happily arrange tickets for entry to Madrid area attractions.

Beautiful hotel renovated 1 year ago in the heart of one of the most bustling neighborhoods in Madrid. We were staying at an Airbnb that ended up having no AC in the middle of August and were miserable the next day, so we booked this hotel last-minute for the rest of our Madrid trip. I'm so glad I did!! Mónica at the front desk was such a sweetheart, upon hearing what happened to us she made sure to personally show us our room and check in with us throughout our stay to make sure the AC here was to our liking. The rooms are super nice and luxurious. Great shower pressure on the showers and very comfortable beds. The snacks service from 4pm-7pm is a nice touch and the hotel food is just as good as some of the restaurants in the neighborhood. The hotel is a 15 min walk to the royal palace and 10 min walk to the Prado museum. It's close to other major tourist landmarks and very easy to get around. Great food all around too within 5 min walking distance. We didn't really venture too far from this neighborhood to eat since it has everything you need. Honestly one of the best hotels I've stayed at and I've traveled quite a bit.

Great location! Walking distance of many major attractions, restaurants, and shops. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Only downside was the small, very crowded pool and a tiny gym.

This hotel has an excellent location and the staff is extremely helpful and accomodating. Alejandra, Emmy, and the young guy who work at the restaurant during breakfast (which is great, BTW!) are SUPER HOSTS that made us feel at home. Bravo!
