Beautiful views….Perfect location

Mon Jul 07 2025 07:31:32 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by Fernie53

Having just spent 5 nights here on a mother daughter trip I would definitely recommend a stay and would love to come back. The hotel is situated opposite the beach and has easy access to the promenade that stretches the length of Sesimbra with its beautiful sandy beach and numerous restaurants. We stayed in a deluxe premium room that had a balcony with stunning views over the beach and sea. The room was spacious with excellent storage facilities and a bathroom with a walk in shower. It was so relaxing just sitting out on the balcony and enjoying the view. We also arranged to meet family at the hotel who stayed in a suite and so were lucky enough to spend time in their room…..superb accommodation and well worth the upgrade if you’re looking for something a bit special. Breakfast offered a good selection of cereals, pastries, cold meats, hot food and fruit. The choices of drinks were plentiful and you can even start the day with a glass of fizz! We made good use of the infinity pool, enjoying the view overlooking the sea and were always able to secure a spot to sunbathe. Unfortunately we ran out of time to use the Spa facilities…..but another reason for a return stay!

Misleading photos of rooms, cigarette smell and inconsiderate staff

Mon Jun 23 2025 12:22:46 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by Celinelemon

I had booked a deluxe sea view room, but upon check-in, I was given a room with only a partial side view, primarily overlooking another building (see photo). I contacted reception to request a change and was asked to return to reception with all my luggage—an unreasonable request considering I am in the later stages of pregnancy. The second room had a proper sea view but was located directly above the hotel bar, and cigarette smoke was drifting into the room. I informed reception and clearly stated that I am pregnant and could not remain in a room smelling of smoke. In response, they sent someone with a strong chemical spray to treat the room—a solution I had to decline, as exposure to such chemicals is unsafe during pregnancy. Despite making my situation clear, no alternative room was initially offered. Eventually, I was moved to a different room—one of the hotel’s older suites. While it was dark and less modern, it was at least free from cigarette smoke. Overall, I found the experience distressing. The lack of consideration for my condition and the repeated inconvenience were unacceptable. I would not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it.

Certainly not a 5* hotel

Sun Jun 15 2025 10:48:31 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by Shona C

Junior suite not well designed to maximise space.?The 3 tiny balconies seemed to be in good position above delivery entrances so noisy from 6.30am. Although the shower tray looked clean, we were appalled to see the abundance of mould growing on the wall tiles. One could have said that it was perhaps the suite hadn’t been occupied for some time but hotel fully booked on many dates in May & June. Like others have reported, there was no record of our restaurant booking in the MarLuso area and we were seated in the Puré area on hard seats. Although there appeared to be plenty of staff, they did not appear to have been assigned to any certain area. It took 5 minutes for my husband’s aperitif to arrive & another 5 for mine to be served! Once we finally got our meal, the food was not well presented and tasted very bland. Breakfast was also not up to 5* standard. Eggs were the only items to be prepared separately and they certainly were not brought to the table. Underground car park in too tight for any slightly longer vehicles, unsecure street parking was wherever one could find a space. As we did not want to spoil our whole trip we checked out after the first night and moved to a similarly priced hotel which was truly 5* This hotel should only be 3* at best!

Service & cleanliness not good

Sat Jun 14 2025 13:14:03 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by coby01

After checking in at reception parking the car near the hotel was difficult as the garage was too tight for many modern cars Our Junior suite had 3 tiny balconies. Noisy with deliveries both behind & in front of room from 6.30am. Room hadn’t been cleaned properly for some time - it’s the first time we have seen how mould grows on shower tiles. Like many other guests, there was no record of our dinner reservation in the MarLuso restaurant and we were shown to the Puré area with hard seats. Although there seemed to be plenty of staff, they did not appear to be assigned to certain areas. Even after we ordered our aperitifs, the beer took 5mins to be delivered and it was another 5 before my G&T arrived. The food when it eventually arrived lacked both presentation or flavour. Breakfast was almost totally self service. Normally in 5* hotel juice and tea/coffee would be served at the table. Only eggs were cooked to order. We were so disappointed that we checked out after our first night and moved to a true 5* hotel which was similarly priced. Would not recommend, .

A disgraceful stay – avoid this hotel

Tue Jun 10 2025 03:48:36 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by FarAway29817047512

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend with my children, booking two rooms. Upon arrival, we were told we couldn’t dine at the restaurant because a table of 20 people – who didn’t even appear to be hotel guests – had taken over the entire space. Completely unacceptable. But the worst part was the noise. For two nights, there was blaring music right below the hotel, making it impossible for me or my children to sleep. It was absolutely unbearable. When I complained, the hotel offered me a ridiculous €8 discount as compensation. That’s not just inadequate – it’s insulting. No advance warning, no attempt to make things right, no respect for their guests. This hotel is unprofessional and completely inconsiderate. If you’re looking for rest, comfort, or even basic customer service, stay far away.
