Walking distance to all the museums, restaurants, and all fun touristy spots. Front desk staff is wonderful - special shoutout to Mila for surprising us with a private cheese tasting because we missed out on going to the one in town. All the front desk staff are lovely and professional. The room was really nice. I usually try to get a room on a high floor, but we took first available, which happened to be on 3. It was perfect - you could see the water and all the boats and traffic from the perfect distance. It was a bit loud at night, but I think that’s just Amsterdam. If you like quiet, this is not the city for you. Great stay, room, staff, and breakfast.

The hotel was nice. The staff was nice but my room had a smell to it and I complained and they said they would check it out. It was terrible. Room 531 . Three times I complained and they did nothing but give me some air freshener that didn’t work.

our european trip ended with two nights in amsterdam before our flight home. we'd had to "make do" with practical accommodation for much of the trip so we chose the park centraal as something of a spoil, booking a junior suite. imagine our great delight when checking to be told we'd been upgraded - who doesn't love an upgrade. what they didn't tell us was they put us in the "tower suite", which is considered their best room - it's the room under the green turret. now... did the upgrade influence my decision to give them an "excellent" rating? my answer to that is a firm no. the staff in every department was excellent, starting with those on the front desk. the staff at breakfast too were very friendly and helpful. but impressions started from walking into the hotel itself, with a very stylish bar on the left and perhaps the coolest pool table i've ever seen on the right in a lounge setting. the overall muted lighting and cool design was great to walk into - very impressive. this is a pretty big hotel, but maybe we happened to be there in a not-so busy time, because breakfast was relaxed and not super-busy. there was an excellent choice of buffet food as well as a menu selection which could be freshly ordered. the hotel is in an excellent location close to vondelpark and the leidseplein area. we would return in a heartbeat.

I travel the world as a well known Opera Singer. Michael Austin is my name. I am known as one of the Best Otellos in the last fifty years. I discovered Park Centraal Amsterdam a few years ago and have been staying here ever since. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and well stocked. I particularly like the organisation between the hotel and a certain taxi company who give good service and fair prices to Amsterdam Central Station and the Airport. Customers do have choices and I choose Park Centraal Amsterdam. Thank you James Michael Austin.

A massive thank you to Park Centraal for the past week of our stay in Amsterdam. The hotel and its staff are an absolute credit to the city. This is how hotels should be all over the world! It started when we arrived in an evening to an amazing lady checking us in (she has the most brilliant big smile and brown eyes, long dark brown hair). She took our information, explained the processes of the hotel and even took the time to go through the local attractions on a map she highlighted for us. Fantastic service! I had actually booked the hotel for my husband’s 40th birthday and it was also my birthday while we were there. She wished him a happy birthday (and to us both!), he was delighted. Then when we got to our room they had left us balloons on the door and a little surprise inside, amazing! The room itself had beautiful decor and a view of the canal. It had a minibar and snacks, which we didn’t use but appreciated. We did use the fridge itself and the safe. The room even had an ironing board and full iron, perfect for suitcase wrinkles. The toiletries were of a high quality. I always take my own but I even used the shampoo & conditioner (which was so soo good!). Huge comfortable bed and lots of pillows. Ample space for our suitcases and belongings. Comfortable desk and chair, which was perfect for my husband who is a self-published author. Shower actually had excellent pressure and heat. Clean and comfortable. They must see hundred of people every day but the lady who checked us in asked how my birthday was when she saw us a few days later. We had some cocktails one evening and the bar downstairs, which is immaculate, with table service or bar service. The gentleman that served us must have been a pro because those were the best daiquiris we had all week! The hotel itself is situated in a great location, close to all the little areas of Amsterdam and trans if you need transport. When we came to book our taxi to the airport, an entirely new gentleman asked how our birthdays had been. I mean, wow! He told us the price and process for the next day. The taxi company is also a credit to the hotel by extension (amazing service!). Check out was smooth and uncomplicated. We had a fantastic week in Amsterdam and the hotel was a huge part of that. Absolutely superb!
