Some rooms have bathtubs with outward-facing views or glass-walled bathrooms and all come with a minibar and L'Occitane amenities.

The Blue Sky Hotel & Tower’s ensemble of restaurants serve up a delectable range of cuisine, including Italian, Japanese, and Korean dishes, while the skyline-framing rooftop bar is one of the city’s top spots for socializing.

The Blue Sky Hotel has a lot going for it, but ultimately didn’t meet expectations, especially considering the price. The location is absolutely fantastic, with a stunning view overlooking Sükhbaatar Square and easy walking access to great restaurants, shops, and cultural sites. Arranging airport transportation through the front desk was quick and convenient. Our room was clean, and some of the staff were friendly and helpful. Others, while not rude, seemed indifferent or disengaged. One odd detail was a notice instructing us to let the shower run for 20 minutes to flush rust from the pipes, which was a little off-putting. The biggest issue was the heat. Because the hotel is made almost entirely of glass, our room felt like a greenhouse. The air conditioning struggled to cool it down, and even at night it remained uncomfortably warm. The blinds did not fully cover the unusually shaped windows, so a lot of sunlight came in early each morning. This may not be a problem most of the year, since Mongolia is usually quite cold, but we were there in July and the heat was a major issue. There is a cool outdoor bar next door that features live music. It creates a fun atmosphere, but the noise was quite loud and could be a problem for anyone who wants to sleep before midnight. The hotel shows some wear and feels a bit dated in places. While it has a lot of potential, it did not quite deliver the comfort or value we were hoping for.

This was our base hotel during a tour of Mongolia so we had two different rooms separated by a few days. The views of the city were great. The rooms had hard, uncomfortable beds so little sleep. The shower on the first stay leaked at the vase into the rest of the bathroom flooding the floor. In our second room the shower door had to be propped shut with a towel underneath as it was hung unevenly and wanted to open all the time. Water pressure was so so and temperature fluctuations constant. Room airconditioning can't be turned off or adjusted if you take the door card out, it runs all the time and is noisy. If you insert the door card all the lights come on, not ideal for sleeping. Ulaanbaatar is a noisy city and windows are poorly sound insulated. Included breakfast is of good quality and varies day to day but service is from largely inexperienced students who are not really attentive and this is worse in the upstairs restaurant where you can be ignored for some time and the bar short pours wine measures and puts massive heads on draft beer. I sent one back to be topped up and got a nice scowl from the bar man. Apart from location this is not a 5 star hotel and bear in mind on top of room rate you can add, 10% VAT, 5% service charged (for what?), and 2% city tax, a hefty 17% in total.

I had a great time staying at this hotel, it was super clean, very easy to check into. The cafe downstairs is great, the restaurants not so great, but the hotel itself was amazing! Service was on top! Staff was very nice, laundry service was great, the gym was good for a holiday workout. Nightlife is nearby right on Seoul Street for bars and clubs. Normal tourism you are right in the Heart of the City in one of the most iconic buildings in the skyline, the room was comfy, the bed was clean shower was very hot and perfect. I would definitely stay here again! Expect no hospitality from the staff. It's a total hit and miss, definitely more misses than hits. Check in counter officers / receptionists don't even try to be nice. No smile no greetings, no apologies when there are clearly issues from their end. One particular staff is the one handling my re-check in on August 19 5:30 pm. He seems to be doing whatever is the opposite of being hospitable. It is not a bad hotel, the location is excellent and fcilities are okay-ish. However nobody seems to care of hospitality or guest experience.

This is a trip my husband and I take with other like hearted friends. This is our third trip of this kind to Mongolia. Staying at this hotel was a new choice. And it was not a good choice. The entire hotel is heated which is ok if you enjoy the heat BUT not if you don’t like your room to be 94 degrees even with the small window open AND a fan going AND the door open!! And this at 9:00pm!! Why can’t foreign hotels keep the air conditioning units on and offer their guests the option to turn ON or OFF the air conditioning?!! Foreigners like to sleep in cooler conditions!! It still uses energy to run the heat all the time as it does to run the air conditioning!
