Las Brisas Ixtapa is a tropical beach-side paradise on the Pacific Coast where your happiness is their top priority. Designed by award-winning architect Ricardo Legoretta, the resort stands out in bold terracotta against the stunning backdrop of the Sierra Madre del Sur Mountains. This striking hotel meets the warm sands of one of Mexico’s most beautiful beaches — where you can bask in the tropical sun shaded by a palapa. Relax in a hammock on your own ocean-view terrace and spot rare species of birds, or join the turtle release party by the shore.
Check into an exclusive Brisas Beach Club Room, in the adults-only section of the hotel on the upper floors. A room at the top gives you breathtaking views across the Pacific, as well as access to the Sunset Lounge and a tranquil pool just for the grown-ups.
Each of the 416 guestrooms and suites has a private balcony, where you can relax with sunset views and the sound of lapping waves. Deluxe guestrooms are perfect if you are travelling as a couple or a family, while Brisas Beach Club rooms are full of adult-only amenities to enhance your stay. For plenty of space, book a junior or deluxe suite, and dip into the hot tub on your secluded terrace.
Rich wood furniture meets a tranquil palette, and soft white furnishings and embroidered scatter cushions create a peaceful feel. After a day soaking up the sun on the private beach, sink into your pillow-top bed for a night of blissful sleep.
Experience flavors from around the globe in one of the six sumptuous restaurants and three bars at Las Brisas Ixtapa.
The one-of-a-kind setting of Las Brisas Ixtapa immerses you in breathtaking natural beauty and wildlife. Follow one of the trails into the hills, take a guided tour to spot exotic species, or wander down to the beach for a turtle release party — it is an experience you will never forget. There are tennis courts and a fully equipped gym. Or, just laze away the afternoon stretched on a lounger by one of four swimming pools.
Two golf courses are less than five minutes away from the hotel. Campo de Golf Palma Real and Marina Ixtapa Golf Club both offer challenging greens with amazing views. Try watersports at Ixtapa Marina, or discover a new beach — Playa Quieta and Playa Linda are both nearby. For scuba diving in the clear water, take the ferry to Ixtapa Island from Playa Linda.
The golden sands of the Mexican Riviera meet the rugged mountain backdrop of Guerrero at Las Brisas Ixtapa, just 10 miles south of Zihuatenejo.

The rooms are lovely. Terrace is very big with a lovely hammock. The family pools are lovely. There is an adult only pool which is nice, but could use some freshening. The beach team, is wonderful! Always attentive, friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurants is okay. The entire staff at Las Brisas were great!

Booked via Expedia to attend a wedding and 7 day stay. Booking direct we received several conflicting responses on pricing. Expedia was a much better value and check-in at the hotel was a breeze. The hotel is kept nicely for its age. There requires a lot of walking/stairs to get around the hotel, this is not the place to book if mobility is an issue. CONS: 1) The lack of communication regarding all inclusive options for dining other than the buffet 2) The non-working elevator to the beach 3) Bats in the walkway down from the 19th floor 4) The 19th floor is locate above the lobby/bar/reception area and has an open hallway looking over the bar/reception/lobby, expect to hear loud talking, kids screeching and music until 1AM. 5) Insects- sugar ants were visible by day 2 and small roaches by day 6 6) Only location for drinks in the hotel is the lobby bar that opens at 6pm. 7) The wait time for drinks to be served in the restaurants/buffet areas and having to sign after every time is confusing. 8) Waiting for a table to be assigned/signing after every meal- there really isn't a point to this as my assigned table was given away while I was serving myself and had to ask for another table. PROS: 1) AMAZING VIEW AND PRIVATE BEACH 2) Friendly staff- we got so much help from reception for transportation options (combi stop is at the bottom of the hill at the entrance to the hotel), $ exchange on site, reservations, etc. 3) Noe in excursions gets you the best guides and rates! He was fantastic to work with. 4) Budget and family friendly 5) Breakfast was great every day Overall - would stay here again but avoid the all-inclusive cost unless you plan to be at the beach a lot or you get a good deal. The 5 min trek down to the public transportation is worth the additional savings and experience. Best place for a drink is the beach! AVOID THE 19TH FLOOR.

The service is AMAZING! Every single person who waited on us or helped us was absolutely incredible. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond. I wish I could remember all of their names but Sergio and Margarito at the beach are two that stand out. The resort is a bit older but they were painting and fixing things while we were there. The beach elevator doesn’t work and did not work the month we were there. Be prepared for a lot of steps!! They do have a shuttle to take you to and from the beach and pool if you prefer. There were always plenty of chairs at the pool and beach, even at 11:00 am. If you travel you know this can be an issue at some resorts. There was about a week of very strong surf when we did not swim in the ocean. On non strong surf days we did enjoy swimming in the very clear waters of their private beach. The room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was that the Brisas Club was only open for a part of the time we were there. We liked it to get coffee and water in the morning. You can hear the lobby noise on the 20th floor but we brought a small noise machine and that was more than enough to sleep without all the lobby noise. The buffet is ok but if I did not go all inclusive I wouldn’t have e paid for it. However, the specialty restaurants were very good. We got a great deal on this hotel so overall a great trip.

This hotel is amazing and the staff make it even better! The location with the private beautiful beach is enough to make it your favorite hotel in Mexico but there is so much more here to offer! I stayed in a Beach Club room and I loved the adult only floor as well as the breakfast and early evening appetizers and cocktails. I met some amazing people that have been coming here for over 30 years! The loyalty and love of this hotel speak volumes. The restaurants are wonderful, the incredible rooms with huge balconies to the sea, the private beach with the palapas and the beautiful pool area make this a 5 star hotel for sure! If you walk down the street from the hotel you can catch the local bus into town or you can walk which is very easy to do. I have already booked a month for next year and I can’t wait to be one of the return guests for the next 30 years! Thank you to Rosa and Miguel and the entire staff in the Club Lounge! You are amazing!

We stayed for a three-night getaway, but there were limited activities for adults. There was no nightlife or music to enjoy. When we asked the front desk about the calendar of events, they were unsure and directed us to the concierge. Unfortunately, the concierge also wasn't very knowledgeable. Additionally, my friend was disappointed with her massage as it did not meet her expectations. The pool was quite far away, which required walking down several flights of stairs to access it. On a positive note, the food was good.
