Great Experience! Company Awards Trip

Tue Aug 12 2025 16:26:24 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by R S

We selected Garza Blanca Cabo as our destination for an awards/company incentive trip. We only stay at all-inclusives for these types of company trips so my experience is limited but based on previous awards trips we've hosted, this has been the best by far. The spa and amenities are fabulous. The views and vibe were incredible, especially the rooftop pool during whale watching season. I would say the food is a level-up from what you might expect from an all-inclusive. I would highly recommend for a company incentive trip and hope to return in the future.

Not worth staying at this hotel.

Mon Aug 11 2025 20:55:12 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by 247aidar

Avoid this hotel. The information on the website is deceiving. I booked and prepaid for an ocean view junior suit advertised as over 600 Sqf, with upgrade promised upon checking in. Of course upon chickiI was given a room that is 300 sqf , no upgrades. The reception staff specially Monserrat and her colleagues lack customer service skills, they are not friendly. Upon check- in customers are not greeted, the staff appear miserable as if they hate working at the hotel, hence you will not receive the service you prepaid for. Internet at any resort in the world is free, however it is $17 per day at his hotel. The hotel has many pools, however they are not clean, the water is murky in all the pools. The cocktails are watered down. There are many staff at the hotel, but only a few are actually working, this results in poor service. All in all its not worth staying at this hotel.

Stellar place, stellar experience

Sun Aug 10 2025 14:10:59 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by chienandalusian

We just spent 6 nights at Garza Blanca and it was maybe the best resort experience of my life. Not only is the property itself beautiful, scrupulously well-maintained, and clean, every staff member was super friendly and helpful. My wife and I both talked about how welcoming and cheerful everyone we encountered was. You should know this is a family resort - lots of kids, definitely not a wild party scene (although there's nothing stopping moms from having a morning margarita by the pool, I'm happy to note). There are I think 7 different swimming pools, and the one on the roof is adults-only, if you want to get away. The food was remarkably good. I've been to 3 different all-inclusives at Cabo and I can say this is the best food I've ever had, from the breakfast buffet to room service (which we took advantage of more than we should have, sorry guys!) to the fine dining restaurants. There are tons of options and you will never be hungry, I promise. To be honest, we spent most of our days just lounging by the pool and getting drinks and food brought to us while the kids played. I mean, how can it get better than that? I really want to emphasize, though, that it's the people who make it special. Without a doubt, the staff here was the best I've ever encountered at any hotel. They're constantly trying to find ways to make your visit better and more special. Truly exceptional. We'll be back. Hopefully soon.

Deeply Disappointed After Second Visit – Child Injured & Mishandled

Wed Aug 06 2025 23:18:13 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by Pamela N

This was our second visit to this resort. Our first time was for my sister’s wedding with over 75 guests, and it was an amazing experience – so much so, that we chose to return. Unfortunately, our recent stay was the complete opposite and involved a serious incident with very poor handling by hotel staff. Upon arrival, check-in took over an hour. While frustrating, we tried to stay positive. Due to late restaurant availability, our party of 13 (7 adults, 6 kids) was seated outdoors at 9 PM in unbearable heat. The kids were miserable, but the restaurant manager kindly helped us secure better reservations for the rest of the trip. However, the next evening turned into a nightmare. During dinner, a server delivered French onion soup so hot it required a towel to handle. As he attempted to place it, he lost control and dropped it, splashing scalding soup onto my young niece. She immediately began screaming — not just crying — and we later realized it had stuck to her neck and was burning through her skin. The server appeared annoyed and dismissive, claiming he’d burned his hand and “it wasn’t that bad.” A dermatology PA who happened to be dining nearby stepped in to assist us, calling for a medic who eventually arrived with cold water. The PA insisted on silver sulfadiazine cream (Silvadene), which the medic agreed to use. Although initially labeled a “first-degree burn,” the broken skin clearly made it a second-degree burn. Despite this, no staff member checked on my niece for over 40 minutes, and no one came to our table to follow up or apologize until we asked for the check — at which point we had lost our appetite and were ready to leave. The manager was apologetic and understanding, which we appreciated, but the damage had been done. The next morning, the food and beverage managers (Cecilia and Adolfo) visited the room. While they acknowledged the server dropped the soup, they also emphasized repeatedly that “it was an accident,” and claimed the server ran to get the manager — yet no manager showed up until much later. When we brought up the need for better training around serving dangerously hot food, Adolfo plainly told us, “This is not something we train for.” That comment alone was alarming. To make matters worse, we were later approached at the pool by a manager (Santiago) who took photos of our niece without consent. When questioned, he said it was “to reserve the area for us,” which felt like a thin excuse. The whole situation made us feel like we were being monitored and even manipulated. After the burn incident, we were suddenly able to get any restaurant reservation we wanted — clearly, a reaction to what happened. The only compensation offered was a future 3-night stay in a 3-bedroom unit, which we declined. We didn’t feel safe or respected, and the idea of returning was out of the question. At checkout, they offered to comp the room but only if my sister and brother-in-law signed a release of liability, which they understandably refused since their daughter had not yet been seen by a doctor. The release form was quickly snatched away when we tried to take a photo of it. To add insult to injury, we were incorrectly charged for movies we didn’t watch. When we questioned the charges (including two charges two minutes apart in one room), they refused to remove them, even though many reviews have mentioned this pattern. ⸻ Bottom Line: This property may look beautiful, but the safety, empathy, and professionalism we once loved are gone. Our family trip turned traumatic because of poor safety protocols, mishandled medical response, and a defensive attitude from management. We left feeling unsafe, watched, and disrespected. We want others to know what happened, especially parents traveling with children. Accidents can happen — but how they are handled speaks volumes. This resort failed on that front.

Travel Well With The Finnell’s: Insider Tips

Fri Aug 01 2025 10:20:43 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by ftwriter

We recently returned to Garza Blanca Los Cabos, and it was just as impressive and welcoming as we remembered. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding, and one particular moment truly stood out: Cristian Ortega, our server at Blanca Blue for breakfast, remembered my favorite beverage: tea with honey and lemon from THREE years ago! That level of attention to detail and personalized care is rare and truly heartwarming. Cristian’s warm smile and genuine kindness made our mornings extra special. It was also a pleasant surprise to see Arturo Esponda, the General Manager, who not only recognized us but also remembered the pleasant conversation we had three years ago. The level of hospitality and consistency speaks volumes about the culture of care at Garza Blanca. A few tips and suggestions: Book your restaurant reservations as soon as you book the hotel. Dining is a big part of the experience here, and the restaurants can fill up quickly. Go with the All-Inclusive option. It’s definitely the best value. Just be aware that some premium items on the menus may not be included. Although gratuity is included in the all-inclusive option, bring cash for tips. The staff works incredibly hard and are always so grateful for the extra cash. To avoid any problems with receipts or charges: On the “additional tip” line, write “left cash” if you tipped in cash. If you do not want to leave an additional tip, write 0, draw a line, or write N/A. Take a photo of every receipt in case anything is altered. Check out 30–45 minutes earlier than needed to allow time for any corrections. Our checkout was smooth and under five minutes for two rooms but we were careful to stick with items included in the All-Inclusive package. For a quieter, more relaxing experience, check out the adults-only rooftop pool. The main pools are peaceful early in the morning. Seats fill up fast so plan accordingly. Timeshare tip: If you’re not interested in the tour or presentation, just let them know at check-in and avoid the concierge area. We did this and were not approached again.
