Overlooking the bustling waters of St. Mark’s Basin and the Grand Canal, and just steps from Venice’s most famous plaza, Hotel Savoia & Jolanda blends the luxurious touches of an opulent Venetian palace with the comforts and amenities of the 21st-century. Taking its name from the Italian royal family, the hotel delights in providing guests with hospitality fit for a king or queen. Highlights of the hotel include:
Hosting less than 50 sumptuously and individually decorated rooms and suites, Hotel Savoia & Jolanda affords travelers an intimate atmosphere where service and hospitality take precedence over superficial glitz. A range of accommodations – from Classic Rooms with views to the twisting back streets of Venice, to Junior Suite Open Spaces with views of the lagoon, a separate lounge area, large baths with massage showers, and spacious terraces filled with flowers – greet guests seeking a blissful, traditional stay in classic Venetian style.
Northern Italy’s culinary traditions are thoroughly explored at Hotel Savoia & Jolanda’s in-house restaurant where seafood, poultry, and beef are served alongside waterfront views.
While Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is happy to have guests spend their entire day resting, relaxing, working out, and dining within its beautiful interiors, all of Venice is just outside its front door.
From wandering canal-side paths interspersed with romantic bridges to visiting world-class museums and enjoying one-of-a-kind experiences, Venice rewards travelers with layers of culture, history, and beauty to explore and absorb. Must-see sights and attractions include:
St. Mark’s Square – Also known as the Piazza San Marco, this grand social space is bordered by some of the city’s largest and most architecturally impressive buildings and monuments, including the Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Caffè Florian, and the iconic belltower Campanile di San Marco.
Rialto Bridge – Visually unforgettable, this white arching bridge crossing the Grand Canal is topped with a wedding cake-like arcade, the interior of which is lined with colorful shops and perfect places for photo-ops.
Peggy Guggenheim Collection – Created from Peggy Guggenheim’s personal collection, this museum features works of modern art by some of the most well-known names in the genre, including Duchamp, Picasso, and Mondrian. Many were featured in one of the first post-war modernist art exhibitions which took place inside the Hotel Savoia & Jolanda.
Set in Venice’s historic city center along the Grand Canal, Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is just a three-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square with its important monuments, museums, shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars.

Absolutely fabulous hotel with a wonderful outlook. We had a junior suite and it was fantastic. Beautifully decorated with sliding door to seperate master bedroom from living area which doubled as a bedroom for our son. Lots of wardrobe space, nespresso machine with pods, full mini bar. We stayed half board in November and the breakfasts were excellent, options for any palate. Evening meals and wine choice were brilliant. Would return in a heart beat

The hotel had a great location near St Marks Square and some nice restaurants. The water taxis were basically right outside the front door. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a variety of options and the wait staff was top notch. The front desk staff was a cross between very friendly and nonchalant. The rooms were nice size for Europe, especially the bathrooms. The hallway rugs could use a redo, as they were dirty and stretched out. The steps between the many levels in the hallways were not clearly marked and a hazard. Our room faced the alley between hotels and was a little noisy when businesses closed at 2am. After the first night we closed the windows and that quieted the noises from the alley. (but made the room a little stuffy)

Connecting to a cruise. This hotel is the perfect location to see much of Venice from on foot and by water taxi, especially if you are travelling with young children or toddlers. Food in their restaurant is excellent. Water Taxi from the airport dock and back if you are flying, is the easies and fastest way to get to and from this hotel

This was our first trip to Venice and we absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Savoia & Jolanda. It was close to everything and the staff was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this hotel highly.
