Lovely, clean hotel with a beautiful view overlooking the Tiber River. Within walking distance to some of the the city's main attractions. The staff made my stay exceptional. Ahmed and team made sure I had everything I needed starting from my arrival at the airport to my departure from the hotel.

This was our first visit to Rome, meaning the standard and location of our hotel was of paramount importance. The First Musica is an exceptional hotel in the Prati district of Rome. It’s a great location to explore all parts of Rome and is (thankfully) not in the middle of the tourist spots meaning it’s a welcome escape from the bustle. The front-of-house staff are outstanding - extremely friendly, welcoming with the highest attention to detail. They helped recommend great restaurants and ensured every aspect of our stay was catered for. Likewise, the staff in the rooftop bar and restaurant were brilliant and although we were only there a few days, we felt like old friends. All aspects of the hotel are of the highest standard and represents great value for money. If there was one thing I’d improve, and it’s a tiny point, I’d increase the water pressure in the shower! It’s a little weak - but that’s about the only thing I could see that needs improving.

Stayed at this hotel over new years. I booked it many months in advance direct with the hotel, which was a mistake because I ended up having to pay double than what I would have if I went with booking.com. The hotel itself was nice - but we had booked a premier room with a view. This was on the first floor, just above street level, and the view was very poor and not we had expected for the price and room type. The windows were also very dirty. They have big glass fronts but no tinting so everyone on the street can see absolutely everything with blinds open at this height. There was no fresh milk in the room for making tea and coffee, I called to ask for milk. When it came I was presented with a bill for I think around €5 and service charges. I refused to pay this. The complimentary fruit in our room was mouldy. I had to ask for toilet roll as we were left with none in our room. I had to call for more shower gel during the middle of my shower again as we were left with the end of a used bottle. I complained about my experience to the hotel staff on check out. They said I should have complained during my stay, I did communicate my discontent during the New Year’s Eve party, when I was presented with the bill for the milk etc. They then offered me 15% off my next stay, but we will not be coming back. Finally to top off the issues, nowhere on the booking or the website does it mention any additional taxes. In fact it stated on the booking that all city rates and taxes were included, which was another reason I booked direct. I was told on check out that additional taxes did apply. When we booked the hotel it advertised that a spa would be available before our stay would begin. It was not. This was not the standard I expected for the price I paid (roughly €875 per night.) I should add that the decor, the speaker and the shower in the room were lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable. The first staff member we encountered was very helpful and walked me to an atm so I could find it. The new years celebration was very disorganised and overbooked. Despite being a guest at the hotel, there was no where for us to sit. They even seated someone behind us in the queue to get in. I expected the cocktail prices to increase slightly over NYE but they were almost double in price for the same cocktail. Finally, when I was asked how our stay was and responded with the aforementioned issues, this was met with a pretty sour reception although the manager did try to resolve the situation expect with a discount on a further stay.
