I have read some fairly glowing reviews about Boutique Hotel Stresa, but I was not at all prepared for what I would experience here. From the moment I arrived, the staff not only made me feel welcomed and appreciated, but they made me feel like I belonged there. From a room upgrade to assistance with anything I may have needed and wanted, the hotel took care of everything. Dinner reservations? Done. Recommendations of things to do in Stresa? Check. Reserving a private boat to tour the Borromean Islands, with an experienced captain? No problem. The rooftop view is truly jaw-dropping. If you're there on a Sunday, go to the brunch, which is exceptional. The spa was excellent, and best of all is Le Bolle, the hotel restaurant. The chef is from Puglia, and during one of the tasting menus I tried, I was served no less than four plates that were outright Michelin-star worthy. They were that flawless, and I've eaten at restaurants with 3 stars that I didn't enjoy as much as Le Bolle. The value of the food and experience, as well as the exceptional service, made this dinner one of the best values you'll probably experience in Italy. The creativity and care put into each dish made the dinners at Le Bolle superlative. The room was extremely comfortable, tasteful, and had a simple elegance. If you want to find things to do, there is plenty to see in Stresa and on Lake Maggiore, but if you want a tranquil and peaceful surrounding at one of the great luxury hotels of Europe, you will not be disappointed. Boutique Hotel Stresa made my vacation one of the very best I've ever had. A huge thank you to the entire staff...every single person made my visit one of the very best I've ever experienced anywhere. I cannot begin to express my appreciation for their warmth, their service, and for making it seem as though I'd found a place where everyone seemed genuinely joyful to be there to make my stay a perfect one. They succeeded on every level.

We stayed six nights at the Boutique Hotel Stresa in Aug 2025. I can't say enough great things about our stay. The room was beautiful. We had a corner suite on the 2nd floor. We had views of the lake and the mountains behind the hotel. The suite was incredibly spacious - and its layout is perfect. The balcony ran the entire expanse of the room and made for a lovely spot to sit for hours. The hotel's proximity to everything (ferry building, shopping district, restaurants, and beaches) is wonderful. You are within steps of everything Stresa has to offer. The staff was exceptional - helping us with every question we threw at them. The food! Breakfast is not to be missed. The lounge on the top floor has stunning views of the lake. One night I sat up there until dark, enjoying a beer and so many yummy, complimentary, snacks. Oh, we had an early dinner there another night - and I'll vouch for the burger and fries! We didn't take advantage of the lovely pool, in part because the beaches right across the street from the hotel were so incredible. It was exceptionally hot the days we visited Stresa, but this place was like an oasis for us. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The hotel isn't cheap - but you definitely get what you pay for. If you want a luxury experience.

This newly restored property is easily the best hotel in Stresa, and I'm sure its rank in TA will rise to the top as more reviews are posted. It's a lovely, modern feel, bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows. They noted my IPrefer membership at check-in and upgraded us. WOW! I think we got the best suite in the house, on top (3rd) floor NW corner with a huge terrace, with gorgeous lake and sunset views. The suite was huge, with tons of open space. There was a welcome bottle of sparkling wine and fresh fruit. The complimentary mini bar is replenished daily. The bed was comfortable, with modern electrical outlets (including USB A & C) at each bedside, along with electric controls for the lights and drapes. There were two closets, plenty of storage space. The bath had a dual vanity, lots of counter space, a beautiful freestanding tub, a good rain shower with handheld, and an excellent hairdryer. There were robe hooks for two lovely soft robes. Very small nit: the bedside tables are not very functional, would be much better with drawers or shelves to put stuff away, though they do have decent surface area. Breakfast on the patio was nice. There is a buffet with the usual items (juice, yogurt, cereal, meat and cheese, fruit, pastries, etc.) which did not vary at all during our 5-day stay. There's a menu to order eggs and other hot items, some of which incur an additional charge. The omelettes were great. They also do a bread service, consisting of a sliced artisan bread with ricotta and honey. There's a nice little rooftop pool, with comfortable loungers and sun beds. Good to cool off on a hot afternoon. Some days it was crowded, hard to find a seat, and others it was nearly empty. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. We had excellent service consistently throughout our stay. The location is perfect, facing the lake and a couple blocks from the center of town.

The most beautiful hotel, with above and beyond service. This is a luxurious small hotel which has been created and designed with excellence across the board. Everything about it is wonderful. We had the best time and although it was expensive we felt worth every cent.
