We booked 2 nights (July 4th and July 5th) at Maximilian’s 5-star hotel in Augsburg, Germany through Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel on July 4th at 4PM we were offered the room 404 at the top floor. Upon entering the room, we discovered that AC wasn’t working and the temperature in the room was close to 90F. We immediately notified the front desk and was assured that the issue will be resolved shortly, but when technician looked at AC unit we were told that nothing can be done, and hotel can’t offer room because Maximillian’s was overbooked. I was asking, crying, told them I have heart's conditions. Nobody cares... We immediately notified the front desk that we are cancelling the 2nd night because it was impossible to stay. The "best part" - when we checked out on July 5th, hotel charged us for 2 nights

We chose based on location in Altstadt and close to train station. This is a full service hotel and we would stay there again. For example, extensive breakfast from 6:30 am, fully equipped rooms with coffee maker, fridge, umbrella and wash cloths. Helpful staff. Nonetheless A/C is weak, but they say they are working on it. Room is just a bit snug.

An excellent choice for a central stay in Augsburg. The room was spacious, clean, and elegantly designed, with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. Parking was convenient, with a dedicated entrance from the rear parking garage directly into the hotel.

What a great property! I am so glad to have this in my arsenal for myself and clients when in Augsburg! Theodore Gandenheimer is an amazing Director who cares so much for this property and it shines throughout the rooms, the common areas, the restaurants and reception. A great stay was had. Highly recommend.

We had a beautiful room with an adjoining room for our 15 year old son. His first time with his own room which he loved. The adjoining door was too heavy for me to open, however. The rooms were both excellently fitted out with modern amenities. Appreciated having a coffee machine that could also do hot water for tea. Good location on a main street. Bathroom was great, the only thing is I had to rinse the bath before use as there were hairs in it. Appreciated the generous check out time of midday, & the macaroons/berries on arrival, & the bottles of water on checkout. Wished we had longer.
