Dining

Hotel Bayerischer Hof is a jewel in Munich’s glittering culinary scene. Its flagship Atelier restaurant boasts two Michelin stars, 19 Gault-Millau points, and 10+ Pfannen from German restaurant guide Gusto. Elsewhere in the hotel, discover adventurous Polynesian dishes, delectable Bavarian specialties, and a host of welcoming bars.

Hotel Bayerischer Hof Dining

Atelier Distinctive, precise, and elegant – the description fits not only the outstanding modern European cuisine at this two Michelin-starred restaurant but also the décor of lauded designer and art dealer Axel Vervoordt. Chef Anton Gschwendtner's menu sounds deceptively simple — monkfish with caviar, saddle of lamb with ricotta — but his pairings, his sourcing, and his technique astonish in every dish.

Garden Awarded 15 Gault-Millau points, this elegant eatery serves traditional brasserie cuisine with a modern twist. Order guinea fowl ballotine or pan-fried turbot in the light and airy winter garden, decorated with an understated, contemporary look.

Palais Keller Descend to the hotel’s 15th-century vaults to discover authentic Bavarian cuisine. Sample a traditional weisswurst breakfast or opt for mouth-watering pretzels straight from the bakery. With a sensitivity for historic building structures as, well as his intuitiveness for form, colors, and materials, the Belgian interior designer, Axel Vervoodt, created energy and new dimensions, to serve traditional Bavarian cuisine in a venue of peacefulness and simplicity.

Trader Vic’s – Exotic Polynesian delicacies take center stage at Trader Vic’s, where original dishes such as butterfish and tuna tartar with papaya are prepared in a beech oven. The space is decorated in a colorful Tiki style, with shells and carvings from the South Pacific.

Falk’s Bar Located under the eye-catching stucco ceilings in the Hall of Mirrors — the only part of the hotel untouched by the Second World War — Falk’s Bar delivers classic cocktails and original creations such as the award-winning Skyfall, a Champagne-based recipe flavored with Cointreau, vanilla syrup, bitters, and grapefruit juice.

Night Club Bar Choose a glass of Champagne or a perfectly crafted cocktail and relax to the strains of live jazz.

Blue Spa Lounge and Winter Garden Indulge yourself with the light creations of our Spa kitchen and, in summer, enjoy the barbecue on the extensive Blue Spa terrace. The glass winter garden opens up a panoramic view over Munich’s rooftops, whereas the open fireplace invites you to tarry a while.

Additional dining options include Atrium & Galleries for coffee and cake; Roof Terrace & Roof Terrace Lounge for Champagne breakfasts; Menehune and Trader Vic’s Bar for exotic Mai Tais, fruit punches, and Polynesian dishes; Night Club and Piano Bar for classic cocktails and live music.
