We checked in for 2 nights this past week with 2 other couples . From the time we drove up we were treated so well , starting with the door man Pierre , who had us at the reception immediately and had our bags to our rooms within minutes along with all sorts of helpful information. It’s a clean modern space with lots of surprises , complimentary champagne and snacks in the afternoon, a beautiful breakfast that you can choose to enjoy and many little spaces to sit with a coffee or friends . We also ordered pizza from the restaurant IL Matto and it was fabulous . The hotel is in a perfect location, you can explore the city on foot and as well walk to lots of restaurants . It’s a quiet , lovely hotel , I would definitely return .

Fantastic Hotel

Exceptional Perfect spot to stay in Old Quebec. Steps away from everything. Extremely quiet room at night with comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful stone building with high ceilings. Only one minor issue would be the hallway rug on our floor was in need of cleaning or replacement. But that's a minor thing that didn't affect our stay and we would gladly stay there again as it is such a great hotel. Dinner next door was good as well. I wish I had asked about free bikes to use as we were unaware and rented. But you may need an e-bike to navigate some streets depending on where you go.

My wife and I and two of our good friends spent two nights at Hotel 71. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were very clean and well equipped. The bathroom was lovely. The location, was perfect for exploring the city and if I went back I would stay here again. Most importantly, the staff was amazing always so friendly, and especially Julian Barry who was so nice and helpful during our stay. I highly recommend the hotel.

This is the hotel you should stay in when visiting Quebec city

This was one of the best kept secrets in all of Quebec city. It’s location is absolutely prime, the staff are beyond friendly and accommodating from the valets to the front desk, everyone. I don’t have superlatives enough to describe how friendly everyone was and how accommodating for everyone was. The rooms are beautiful, spacious. The attention to detail in the bathroom and the rooms themselves are perfect, When we return to Quebec city, it will not happen unless we are staying at this absolutely beautiful hotel.
