Punakha River Lodge was one of the most fantastic lodges we have stay at in the world. Location, ambience,staff, accommodation and service was spot on to making our stay incredibly enjoyable, No detail was left to chance

When we arrived, my 15 year old son said he never wanted to leave! The setting is stunning, we listened to the sounds of the river as we drifted to sleep, woke up to birds chirping and clouds rolling over the mountains. This is nature at its best. The food service was amazing...creative and healthy, beautifully presented. The rooms are beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The staff is so kind and the whole resort has an understated elegance. Dying to go back with my husband...this is really getting away from it all...but in the lap of luxury!

Outstanding; the place ticks like a swiss watch. From the singing choir that met us on arrival, to the basket of yummies we were given on departure, there was nothing to fault. We were given a thorough tour of the premises; a list of everything that was included (everything); full explanation of how stuff worked in our room. Very comfortable bedding; hot and strong pressure shower; and an espresso machine no less. And of course, we had our own wading pool. The food was gourmet; the service was chatty, but not obtrusive; and our valet, Khem, absolutely knew what he was doing. And it goes without saying that the vistas around the hotel, and the river, were a feast for the eyes. Our only complaints were, we ate too much, and did not stay long enough!

A truly memorable place to stay. It has a safari lodge feel, as you would expect from And Beyond. The scenery is beautiful. The staff were wonderful. Rishi the property manager and all his staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent. The room / tent was spacious and comfortable.

My wife and I had the most wonderful stay for a couple of days, in Andbeyond Phunaka River Lodge! The experience was simply unparalleled. The thoughtfulness they have displayed in making the guests feel special is brilliant. The food was amazing (for those who have a sweet tooth, Manashi - the patisserie - is God's gift to mankind :-D). Be is the elegant and peaceful sun downers, surprise but scrumptious breakfast after a early morning hike with a killer view, or even the completely understated and non obtrusive turn down service, the amount of thought love and care they put in making our stay memorable is something we will always remember. We are coming back for sure.
