Awful outdated hotel

Sun Mar 16 2025 15:04:45 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by Marissa G

Outdated, cold, unfriendly and overcrowded. Worst hotel experience in years. Pillows were unraveling and beds looked dirty. Staff was fake and unfriendly. Overcrowded with corporate travelers. They say the are pet friendly yet asked if my dog was a service animal during check in.

Ryan Serrano's Garden City Hotel Review

Sun Mar 16 2025 09:36:02 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by Ryan S

The Garden City Hotel was great! I went to Long Island on a business trip for a small conference, and everything was well done. The room was comfortable, and the restaurants had excellent service. I usually have espresso in the mornings, and the King Bar was open for a breakfast buffet. At our small conference, we used the King Bar and the Red Salt Room, and they were both up to par.

Good but Can Use Some Updates

Sun Mar 09 2025 11:29:02 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by tiff m

Overall the Garden City Hotel is nice. The rooms are pretty clean, but please consider updating the lighting, it's dimly lit even with every light on. Also, the mirror in the rm is speckled (the actual design) so you can't properly see yourself before stepping out. There's no real counter space in the bathroom, just a thin ledge above the sink. The sink does have wider sides so you can rest some toiletries on it. My family & I frequent this hotel whenever we're in NY because it's one of the nicer ones. However, I do think it's time for some room upgrades though.

“What a hotel stay should be like! Marriott/Hilton/all of them need to take a lesson from the GCH!” •Business trip•Couple•Deluxe King Room•Stayed 4 nights NOTHING! Great stay! Excellent staff! Anthony Lambert and Maria - thank you for your exceptional service! Nice to know that customer service is still a matter of pride for some companies! Great bar-amazing breakfast! But the staff at the GCH is the BEST! Stayed in March 2025
