Hotel Napoleon Paris

This was my first trip to Paris. The hotel pretty much met my expectations. The location is minutes from the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I never felt slighted, which as a person of color, was very important. I would come back.

Pleasant stay

I booked this hotel after noticing a pricing error on booking.com The room was 120 euros, which was after a 20% discount. They missed a 0 off, every other day of the year it's 1500, with the discount taking it to 1200 for that room type Was good value for price paid but nowhere near worth the usual price. Room was mostly clean, though it is old, dated and damaged in a lot of places. I get the historic feel of the hotel, however it is becoming it's downfall and feels tacky. The staff were absolutely excellent, best part of this hotel was the experience of the staff service. If only the rooms had as much life and energy as the staff did!

Good location, somewhat pricy, staff could improve

I had a rather surprising experience during checkout. Apparently, another guest mistakenly recorded my room number for bar expenses. When I was checking out, the receptionist asked me to pay for these charges. However, I explained that I had not used the bar at any point during my stay. To my surprise, the receptionist appeared doubtful and did not seem to trust my word, which I find unacceptable for a hotel in this price segment. I apologize for the strong wording, but I was genuinely disappointed by the lack of understanding and the tone of the employee. I hope this feedback helps improve future guest experiences.
