DOM Hotel is an intimate boutique property in the heart of Papal Rome in Regola, Italy. Sitting along Via Giulia, one of the city’s oldest and most iconic streets, this luxurious escape occupies a 17th-century palazzo that has been transformed into a sumptuous, metropolitan haven reminiscent of ancient Rome paired with contemporary, creative flair. Its idyllic location places you in the middle of the most artistic triangle of Italy’s capital city — with Piazza Navona steps away on one side and St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican, and Castel S. Angelo minutes away on the other. Enjoy unique offerings, elegant comforts, and cosmopolitan glamour all in one place. Whether in Rome for business or leisure, this is the perfect getaway in the Eternal City.
Originally a 17th-century palace turned Claretian monastery, DOM is an abbreviation of "Deo Optimo Maximo," a Latin inscription found on the church adjacent to the property. Its entire restoration was undertaken by Italian architect, Antonio Girardi, who artfully blended design elements within the hotel’s interiors. The original exposed brick walls and coffered, wooden beam ceilings were preserved and served as the perfect backdrop to handmade furnishings by Italian master craftsmen and an eclectic collection of photographs.
The hotel has 18 guestrooms and suites, each overlooking the historic Via Giulia from wide windows. Spaces are adorned with refined decor, handcrafted furnishings, international works of art, and original elements of the building. Soothing warm color palettes in shades of white, dove, and tobacco beautifully complement large stately mirrors and oversized decorative headboards to recreate a historic noble home's intimate and relaxing atmosphere. The unique DOM Suite boasts a private roof terrace spanning more than 270 square feet with panoramic views of the rooftops and bell towers of Rome’s celebrated Regola quarter.
In each guestroom, enjoy 24-hour room service, a flat-screen TV with sky and satellite channels, an electronic safe, luxury bathrobe and slippers, and high-end bathroom amenities.
From impressive locally-sourced menus and wine pairings to rare vintage spirits and irresistible atmospheres, dining at DOM Hotel is unforgettable experience.
Wander through the enchanting property to discover beautiful works of art, inspiring interiors, and spaces to relax. Head up to the fourth-floor rooftop terrace to experience a perfect private oasis, nestled between Roman rooftops and historic bell towers. It’s the ideal place to celebrate a special occasion, to enjoy a candlelight dinner, or to have an Italian aperitivo with friends. If you are in the mood for a beverage, head to the DOM Bar or Liquor Room.
Stroll out DOM Hotel’s front doors and immerse yourself in the intersection of art, culture, and immense beauty. Meander the stone-paved streets of the Regola quarter to feel like you’ve wandered onto an old film set — and explore local artisan workshops, vintage boutiques, and traditional wine bars. Walk a bit further to St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo, Palazzo Farnese, Galleria Spada, Chiostro del Bramante, Palazzo Braschi, Stadio di Domiziano, Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza, San Luigi dei Francesi, and Pinacoteca del Tesoriere. The Jewish Ghetto is also a short walk away with its ancient culinary traditions and a number of great points of interest, including the Turtle Fountain designed by Giacomo Della Porta.
This centrally located boutique hotel sits on Via Giulia, an ancient and exclusive street situated in Regola, the seventh district in Ancient Rome. The storied street is lined with an array of extraordinary churches and cultural buildings, as well as some of the most luxurious homes in Rome. DOM Hotel is an ideal distance from the city’s bustling center and slightly removed from the busy nightlife that animates the alleys and small side streets around Campo de’ Fiori.

This hotel has a perfect location, right in the centre of Rome. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful; the rooms are beautiful, spacious and richly furnished; and the restaurant serves an amazing breakfast as well as a top rate dinner. My wife and I can’t recommend this hotel too highly. We’ve visited Rome six times over the years, all of them five star. This was and is easily the best. And extraordinary value for money. From now on, this is where we’ll go when we visit Rome.

Small Boutique Hotel located in a less crowded area of Rome near the Tiber River, close to the Basilica and Trastevere. Big bus city tours stop nearby. Not too far to walk to major attractions. We stayed in a Deluxe room which is a good size with large bathroom. Amenities very good. Comfortable beds, good lighting. Staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant in this hotel called Verve is fabulous, lovely setting, great service and amazing home made dishes including a generous breakfast. Best yoghurt I have ever had. Highly recommend dining here.

Great hotel, best location! The staff is very nice, the rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The location is very very safe, in front of the antimafia, 24 h guarded by police and military. Nice breakfast. It is situated in an area with lots of options for food. A pharmacy is across the street from. You can’t ask for anything better. For sure I’ll be back next time I’ll be in town.
