The Rossio – Attractively designed with a blue and white theme, Portuguese tiles, and a mix of white sofas and chairs, the restaurant and bar is a lovely place to eat. Chef Joao Correia has concocted an inspired menu; try the Portuguese tempura, or the fish and prawn pasta. The wine list is excellent.
Lobby Bar – Meet colleagues or friends for a drink in this smart little bar, open from 10 a.m. until 12 a.m.
Use the sumptuous facilities at GSpa by Altis Grand Hotel, including indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, fitness room, Technogym equipment, and five treatment rooms. Also try BSpa by Karin Herzog at sister hotel Altis Bélem Hotel, where the Thermo Garden has two pools, a hammam, sauna, and massage treatments.
Step outside the front door to enjoy Lisbon’s cultural treats, such as the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, where great explorer Vasco da Gama is buried.
