A beautiful place and I can see why they need to charge £1,300 a night for a suite. However with that price ticket comes the expectation of good service and a full package. The service was a bit lacking, room 55 had a dreadful view for the money, a weedy lawn and they could have moved us. The hotel was half full at best I would say and two equivalent rooms were available. They should have taken it out of service. The food was excellent though. Disappointing but I hope they get it right soon as the setting is sublime.

Stayed in an incredible suite for just over a week - our whole experience was flawless. The property's recent refurbishment/interior design is exquisitely beautiful. Our rooms were absolutely gorgeous, with high ceilings, luxurious soft furnishings & old artwork. The view of the valley/surrounding towns & mountain range was a feast for the eyes. All the meals we had at the property were wonderful, with exceptional service to match. Breakfasts on the sun dappled terrace were divine... including a daily selection of pastries (from the pasty chef on site) to match the best I've had in Paris or London. We always found room by the pool which was exceptionally tranquil even with other guests about. The general feeling was one of peace and tranquility... I really didn't want to leave. I usually find summer holidays & resorts a bit oppressive: staying in a cookie cutter beige room in a bustling resort, no matter how well appointed, just drains my senses. This was the total opposite. The service, as mentioned, was fantastic. The hotel staff were gracious hosts, very welcoming & happy to assist. For instance, on one of our final days I asked the groundsman if it was ok to feed the donkeys (there are 3) some fruit & he kindly made sure I didn't lose a finger in the process & then showed me the geese & orchard and took the trouble to use google translate to tell me about them - so lovely & personable. At breakfast on our last day I heard a young boy at the next table tell his parents in a hushed tone: "This place is just amazing" - he's completely right. And I'm spoiled for any other hotel stay in Europe...

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Being at Son Net feels like you are in a dreamy postcard. The service was second to none. Special shout out to Luigi for tending to our specific needs. The only disappointment was having to leave!

Note I would love nothing more than to update this review and hope this situation can be corrected. Need to share my experience. My wife and I booked Grand Hotel Son Net to celebrate our honeymoon. Mallorca was a bucket list destination and this was going to be our splurge on a luxury experience we worked so hard and saved for. Unfortunately Covid happened and our dreams came to an abrupt halt. Immediately we had to go and cancel or bookings. However Son Net decided to deny our request. It is standard for hotels to have 2 week cancellation policy which we were well within. This place apparently had a zero cancellation policy that was never explicit in our reservation. This is an expensive hotel and a stretch financially but Mallorca was our bucket list and it was our honeymoon. We were not only devastated about missing out on our honeymoon but also $700+ that we really needed. We eventually worked with the hotel that kept our money to apply to a credit we could use a a future stay. Fast forward to April/May 2025, my wife and I finally saved up enough money and time off from work to visit Mallorca and use our credit. When we went to book they told us our credit expired!? In the hotel communication there was no stipulation on our credit expiring. They took our money and provided no services. Did not even offer a partial refund which would go along way to make this right. They are doing nothing to make this situation correct and basically stole our money. I want everyone to know our story and to not give this place your business. There are so many beautiful places to stay in Mallorca so please consider those options before you book here.
