Great location - beautiful place, very clean, mixed service could be improved a little

Great views, lovely food, nice room, good on cleanliness but some aspects of service were not great. Bar lady and lady who served at the pool side was harassed, over worked and didn't have enough support, we felt like an inconvenience, she was huffy and we had to stand for over 15 mins to wait for drinks at times, while she concentrated on clearing towels and glasses and not serving. After a 3 course meal on the terrace we asked for espresso and she told us no because the coffee machine was closed now - even though you can order drinks including coffee via room service until 2 am . This hotel is wonderful BUT you cannot walk anywhere from here, and this was not clear when booking. it is not safe and you do not have any pathways. I am sure they do not publish this because you feel trapped in a compound which is very restrictive and results in needing a taxi to get anywhere. I would also say its not a great place for kids, out teenager made the best of it but it really seems more like an adult only place - not a fun place just somewhere serene to relax. The service on reception, evening meals and breakfast was great - a few members of staff were exceptional and made us feel very welcome and they were warm and friendly - the only blip was really the woman behind the bar, she was boarding on rude at times.

Excellent. World class view! Nice staff. Clean rooms. Great bar and food. Lovely spa. Very relaxed feeling. Close to the most beautiful bits of the Cote D'Azur. Too far to walk but taxis and ubers are easy and there's an aiport shuttle. Great value, will come back again. Thanks to everyone at the hotel.

Why is this not a 5 star hotel?

After a disappointing stay at a so called five star boutique hotel in Menton we were delighted to spend our last night on The Cote d’ Azur at this fantastic hotel. Set on the hillside overlooking the sea everything about this establishment was 5 star. The food, the service, the pool, the rooms & of course the stunning location.

A lovely hotel with beautiful views and friendly competent staff who helped us immensely when our rental car broke down.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It is in a beautiful location and we had an amazing view of the sea. We had great massages at the spa. Everyone was very friendly! Most importantly for us - we ran into trouble with our rental car - it broke down on us twice and the hotel was super nice about helping us communicate with the rental agency. I felt the hotel really did what we needed it to do - and we were so grateful!
