Fantastic hotel 5*. Everything about this hotel was great. The staff, the large rooms, the dining was excellent, the breakfast was extensive and the sky bar had beautiful views. I have been traveling for 3 weeks in Switzerland and have stayed in 4* and 5* hotels and the Monopol is clearly a 4.9* hotel. I don’t know what they are missing to keep it from being a 5* hotel. It isnt a Resort and Stuffy but it is new clean and a high class hotel. Perhaps if you are one of those people who only want to stay in the hotel all day then this may not be the perfect place for you but if you are here to SEE St Moritz and the local areas and spend more time outside enjoying the area then this is the perfect spot . We will come back

We rated the Hotel Monopoly highly as our rooms were exceptional, the friendly welcome was the best we’ve had so far, and the refreshing glass of Prosecco was very well received. The shuttle service to and from the station was excellent as the hotel is situated some distance uphill

Wonderful rooms, Perfect services like the best in class restaurant on ground floor, the Sky bar and the wonderful attentive and respectful staff! There were some exceptions from the rule in the service and I do not like that the spa has a cerberus at front door and the sauna is only available on request! Some staff (by far not all) look at clients as if they are from Mars! (Refers to the spa and one if the receptionists)! If that could be avoided next time I would rate this hotel as one of the best in Moritz, regarding the Sky bar maybe one of the best in Europe!

It was one of the best property we stayed at during our entire Switzerland trip. The rooms were spacious and with sitouts offering beautiful views. The breakfast menu had lots of options and especially the croissants were crispy and delicious. The staff was super helpful and smiling. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a good stay at St. Moritz.

I would have liked to have given 5 stars but there were two issues. Firstly though, the hotel is well located, our room was very spacious & comfortable. It was really clean on arrival & the staff maintained it that way for our stay. All of the amenities were high quality. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh & high quality. So many choices. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on our first night where we enjoyed a delicious meal & the portion size enabled us to share & still no space for dessert. All of the staff right from reception through to the restaurant (both dinner & breakfast) were friendly, attentive & professional. Importantly they all spoke adequate English which makes things so much easier for us non- Europeans. Now for the two issues. We would have loved to have used the pool/spa facilities but they close at 8:00pm. In midsummer, when it is so pleasurable to take advantage of the long hours of daylight these facilities should be able to be used until 10:00pm or even longer. The hot water flow in the shower was inconsistent & at times became much too hot. My wife even felt that her back had been burnt. Perhaps it is caused by other rooms in close proximity using water at the same time. If that is the case it should be able to be remedied & it needs to be as it could be dangerous.
