I suspect the room price reflects the hotel’s presence in the French Quarter, but it seemed high for our room that seemed to match a Holiday Inn or Howard Johnson’s room from the 1960’s. Our room on the 4th floor had a nice private balcony with high walls (so no view), but the room was dark and dated. The bed was perfectly comfortable and the marble bath was clean but tiny. Nice walk in closet. Very dated carpet, lamps, and furniture. It would have been fine at half the price. $45 per day parking charge.

Hotel has a great location, and nice sized rooms. There is a lot of street noise, and very little insulation from it with the balconies. The valet service was sadly slow even with plenty of notice. There is no real bar or and no breakfast service.

Just finished a six night stay and it was a very mixed experience. Positives include the location, size of the room, and friendliness of the staff. Negatives- shower water had two temperatures cold and scalding, minimal water pressure, a closet door for the bathroom. Our biggest issue was the lack of functioning ac/heat. I spoke with the front desk and sent an email, no response. I'm not sure I would stay again.

Nice hotel, great location, has a lot of charm. Rooms are clean and large, bathroom recently renovated, but the shower lacked water pressure. One small lift operates the entire hotel, so you often had to wait. Staff were friendly, happy to provide water bottles when required and provided some good advice.
