Opt for a beach bungalow with a lush private garden steps away from the sand, or a signature over-water villa with either sunrise or sunset views, glass floor panels to watch the ocean below, and an infinity pool. Suites are even larger with one and two bedrooms, and the vast Royal Residence even has its own private spa. Every detail has been considered, from Nespresso coffeemakers and minibars stocked with premium brands and wines selected by a sommelier to Elemis products in the indoor/outdoor bathrooms.

The Maldives is as famous for marine life as much as it is for perfect beaches, and the resort's watersports include stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and jet-skiing, and a PADI dive center. There is also a tennis court and a 24-hour gym where you can arrange your own customized fitness program with a private instructor. The spa is set in its own tranquil gardens; 10 lavish treatment rooms offer massages, facials, and anti-aging treatments. Follow up your session with time in the sauna, steam room, or hot tub.
Island-hopping options include two nearby uninhabited islands. If you’re interested in learning more about Maldivian culture, visit a nearby village or take a cruise on a traditional dhoni boat. Other activities include dolphin and whale watching excursions — over 23 different species have been recorded here — a luxury lucky dolphin cruise at sunset with bubbly provided, and night fishing trips.
