Hayward’s – Open seasonally for breakfast and lunch, this al fresco restaurant features an open-kitchen design and unparalleled views of the Caribbean Sea and the Great House Grand Lawn. The cuisine is Jamaican inspired yet worldly in influence, with dishes prepared on the spot.

North Pointe – Located on the northernmost point of the island, this outdoor bar and grill, overlooking an infinity-edge swimming pool, serves light fare, from tacos, sandwiches, and salads to seafood, as well as tropical cocktails. Children’s dining options are also available.

Spice – Slow-cooked, jerk-style Jamaican food is served beachside at this casual beach bar and grill. After you’ve made a splash in the waves, stop by to dine on delicious local fare paired with specialty cocktails. Beach service is also offered.

The Maakit & Boutique – The casual, grab-and-go setting at this eatery lends itself to a variety of authentic Jamaican offerings, from freshly-brewed coffee and delectable pastries to hand-crafted sandwiches. Visit to peruse gift items and products made by local artisans to take to loved ones back home or to keep as souvenirs from your Jamaican vacation.

Luxury with Heart

My family and I stayed at Half Moon as a before-back-to-school trip. From the very beginning, service was outstanding with Harland giving us a tour of the property. We stayed at a cottage with a private pool and the entire family enjoyed it very much. My child particularly enjoyed biking around the property, to go to Eclipse, down to the BBQ night location and back. She immediately asked when we will be back. The highlight of their hospitality came when I was bitten by a centipede during our trip to the Luminous Lagoon. The night shift manager, Winston, went to the ER to check up on me and my family, stayed, and drove us back to the resort. The following day, Chris-Ann at the front desk, called the pharmacy and had my medication delivered to the resort saving me a trip. Every employee we encountered truly embodied the Jamaican hospitality and warmth. If you're looking for a getaway that is both luxurious and with heart, look no further!

Perfect family golf getaway

Sun Aug 10 2025 01:33:26 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by kasi c

We completely relaxed at Half Moon and enjoyed a great golf trip with our family. From Pat, who checked us in to Rorie (cove bartender who taught us card tricks) and Sasha (spice bar with great stories and drinks), Lincoln and Saan in housekeeping, Philip at breakfast - the service was thoughtful, warm and detail oriented. We hadn’t planned to golf every day- and then Janice at the pro shop set us up with Steve and Cecil, who were patient, experts on the course - we ended up golfing every morning with them and we all had marked improvements. The team at Half Moon take pride in their work and the result is an unforgettable vacation. Don’t miss the beach BBQ, the food and entertainment are also well executed. My son said he’s never slept so well.

Luxury, Warmth, and Unforgettable Service at Half Moon

Fri Aug 08 2025 20:01:42 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by collinstwinspa

We recently enjoyed a family trip for nine to Half Moon, staying in the beautiful Rose Hall Villas. The villas were modern, spacious, and perfect for letting the kids run free and explore. Our private infinity pool and direct ocean access made it feel like our own little paradise. The highlight of our stay, however, was the incredible villa staff of four who made sure every detail was taken care of. Joy’s cooking was a true treat — she not only introduced us to delicious traditional Jamaican dishes but also thoughtfully prepared meals the kids loved. Our butler, Shavor, went above and beyond to accommodate every request, and his warm smile made each day brighter. Angela kept our villa spotless and even did our laundry daily, while Cordel seemed to handle a little bit of everything with ease. When the power went out one afternoon, the resort generously comped our lunch and dinner — a gesture that truly showed their commitment to guest satisfaction. From start to finish, this trip exceeded our expectations, blending the beauty of Jamaica with unmatched hospitality. We left with full hearts, happy memories, and a strong desire to return to Half Moon again soon.

Mr. Fitzgerald is the ambassador

Thu Aug 07 2025 19:12:47 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) by ALMYMB123

Upon arriving to the resort, Mr. Fitzgerald opened my door at the entrance, greeted me with the biggest warm smile & I couldn’t help but give him a massive hug although I had just met him. Wow, he is so sweet, friendly & make you feel like family. He even says that you are family when you first step foot onto Half Moon resort. Mr. Fitzgerald is an amazing ambassador of Half Moon. Our stay would not have been as good if he wasn’t in the future. I looked for him every day just to hug him because of his warmth & love. We stayed at the renovated Eclipse side which we highly recommend. Most of the staff are warm & helpful—from the front desk with Stacy who checked us in, to the staff at the pool & the restaurants. Recognized employees are Fitzgerald, Delroy, Saldameicka & Kenesha at the pool, Claudio & Lloye at Delmare Restaurant, & Christopher Golding-Chef de Cuisine-Tasha Buchanan-Sous Chef at Sugar Mill Restaurant. By the way, Chris Golding has a Jamaican cookbook on Amazon. More local cuisine & ingredients would be appreciated as Jamaican food is delicious. There were too many “American” food offerings. This resort is very laid back. We enjoyed snorkeling in the ocean but we would appreciate it if the resort could take out some of the overgrown sea grass since there is such a small area to actually enjoy the ocean. It is windy here so be prepared. Look out for Leroy who can cut fresh coconuts for you.

Gerard Wedding

Our wedding was absolutely stunning— I’m trying to find the words to describe how happy we were with our choice but you really have to venture there yourself to feel the magic. Andrea Smith helped us with every little detail from our wedding and put it together PERFECTLY. All our family and friends are still raving about this wedding— from the simple details to the food to the ceremony. It was a fairytale. We were not only able to have the most gorgeous wedding, we also had a beautiful vacation with family and friends. It was such a memorable moment in time. I can’t say thank you enough to all the helpful staff members— Karlene, Tanya, Sasha-Kay, Latoya, Dean, Corey, Gregory (thanks for all the coconuts!!), Brenton, Wallace, all staff members at Maakit (shoutout the Britney!), all chefs at the breakfast buffet (Corey & David), literally everyone at Half Moon were so extremely kind and helpful. Definitely venture around the resort and don’t forget to go to Rosey’s!
