Mumbai's Most Famous Attractions
Gateway of India: Also known as the “Taj Mahal of Mumbai,” the town’s most iconic landmark overlooks the Arabian Sea. The world famous arch was built in 1924 to commemorate King George and Queen Mary’s royal visit. After exploring the area, hop on a boat for a trip to the Elephanta caves.
Marine Drive: Swing by the iconic boulevard at night to see the Queen’s Necklace — the famed street lights resemble a string of pearls. Head to the end of Marine Drive and you’ll hit Chowpatty Beach, one of Mumbai’s most famous seashores known for Bhelpuri and restaurants.
Haji Ali Shrine: Walk the causeway with sea on both sides to this historical mosque and dargah (tomb). The dargah is only accessible during low tide.
