Texas Dining with a Twist at The Whitehall
The Whitehall is home to three onsite options that offer a variety of delectable dishes and handmade drinks to guests and visitors to Houston alike.
Part & Parcel
Guests are welcome to enjoy a handmade cocktail under the Texas stars with old friends, or make new ones in the casual courtyard at Part & Parcel. Delightful small dishes, an original beverage menu, and carefully made classic cocktails are all served with a healthy helping of Southern hospitality.
From traditional Texas-inspired favorites like a craveable assortment of street tacos, chicharrón and deviled eggs topped with fried, to a private label bourbon - Edgar’s Truth - visitors are invited to grab a chair, raise a glass, and indulge in unique flavors.
For a taste of Houston’s most inspired and authentic cuisine, guests at The Whitehall are invited to dine at Edgar’s Hermano. Executive Chef Sylvia Couvarrubias serves up Sotherly’s trademark classic Southern fare blended with Houston’s vibrant native Tex-Mex cuisine. The menu includes enticing menu items like Texas corn cakes with pork chicharrón and cotija cheese, mac and queso with chipotle grilled Gulf shrimp, and the award-winning Southern fried stuffed chicken with masa grits and candied bacon jam.
Local favorites are offered as well, including Sotherly’s own Edgar’s Truth bourbon, named for the bourbon aficionado, and founder of the predecessor to Sotherly Hotels, Edgar Sims.
Boasting a Texas twist on everyday standards, Edgar’s Hermano features a stylish bar with an innovative cocktail menu. Edgar’s Hermano is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Buffalo Bayou Coffee Shop
Buffalo Bayou Coffee offers an authentic Houston coffee experience with favorite eye-openers like local JAVA PURA coffee, teas, and lighter bites for breakfast and lunch. Guests can delight in freshly baked pastries and handmade sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, and soups.
The Buffalo Bayou name is a nod to the Houston roots and created specifically for The Whitehall by Sotherly Hotels.
With a dedication to bringing the best coffees from premier growing regions around the world to the Bayou City, JAVA PURA was started in 2008 by two native Houstonians, who roast all of the beans locally in their own small-batch drum roaster and make them available within 24 hours, thereby ensuring the best possible product.
