Cambridge University Botanic Garden: Associated with the University Department of Plant Sciences, this impressive garden covers an area of 40 acres and hosts a collection of over 8,000 plant species from all over the world to facilitate teaching and research. The garden was created for the University of Cambridge in 1831 by Charles Darwin's mentor, Professor John Stevens and opened to the public in 1846. These days, the garden attracts up to nearly 200,000 visitors a year.

Cambridge Corn Exchange: Dating back to 1875, this ancient gem is a popular music and arts venue, the largest venue in Cambridge, hosting some of the worlds best-known artists including everyone from The Who and Pink Floyd to David Bowie and Queen. The venue was used for a variety of additional functions throughout the 20th century including tea parties, motor shows, sports matches, and a music venue with temporary stage. Then, in the 1980's, the City Council renovated the building, turning it into a full-time arts venue, hosting theatre, dance and music performances.
