Venture The Trails Of Texas Or Spend Your Time Sipping Wine
Walking, Hiking, and Biking - We don’t always spend our days lounging poolside! In fact, Lake Bryan Trail is a breath of fresh air when you get stir crazy. The trail is considered moderate / average, thus welcoming to all. Mountain biking is a great way to explore the area as rentals are available near College Station (we travel sans bike).
Wine Tours & Tastings - Alright, we’ll admit that wine tasting tours can be hit or miss, but $15 for an hour-long tour and $10 for tastings is a bargain on vino! You can always splurge for the more romantic moonlight tours and cellar tours, too (they’re worth it!).
Valley Museum of Natural History Nature trails, fossil collections, and American history may not be your cup of tea, but the Brazos Valley Museum isn’t without it’s charms. The museum hosts tours and classes throughout the year and is great for the little ones (if you’re lucky, it will be “dollar day”).
Old Bryan Marketplace - A great spot for shopaholics—the marketplace carries crafted goods which make for memorable souvenirs and home decorations (you’ll see). The holidays are the best time to visit and a bite at Madden’s is a must.
